RonJea Outlet Spacers for Electrical Box (48 PCS)

These outlet spacers solved a problem that had been bothering me for a long time. They made it easy to tighten loose outlets and switches so everything sits securely and flush against the wall. They’re simple to use, sturdy, and the different spacer sizes make it easy to get the perfect fit. Installation only took a few minutes, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The pack includes plenty of spacers, so I had enough to fix multiple outlets throughout the house. It’s an inexpensive product that solves a common problem quickly and effectively. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had a lot of trouble finding a gang box extender that would fit my various sized gang boxes. I ran across these and thought I'd give them a try. I am really glad I did! I had installed a lot of double and single gang boxes in my barn/workshop, and then decided to use 1/2" plywood instead of 1/4" or 3/8" thick plywood because I needed the strength. I did NOT want to try un-nailing all those boxes so started looking for extenders. Well, some of the boxes were right at 1/4" proud of the studs, some were less so and a couple were more so. These things can be stacked and can make up the difference no matter which way the boxes were. They compress nicely and form a very rigid support for the switches and the outlets. They worked perfectly. They lock together kind of like Legos. It did take a little bit of getting used to installing them with my oversized fingers, but once I got the hang of it, it was real easy. I am really happy with these and they were a lot less expensive than the alternatives.

With our recent rehabs of spaces in two homes we often found our switches/outlets didn't line up with the cover plates. These spacers are easy to use and bring the switch/outlets out to match the face plates. Great product!

exactly what it was made for

Bought these when installing a backsplash in our kitchen. They worked perfect. A little hard to install if you have sausage fingers like me but other than that, they serve their purpose.

Most importantly there are only 24 strips - not 96. They are counting one folding pair as 1 pc - even though a strip is all connected. I wasn’t able to find that info when I was looking at the listing. Secondly, they don’t stay snapped together on their own - they will only snap together ins pairs - refer to photos. Overall would works as extenders/spacers & still an adequate value (though I was able to find for a few cents cheaper in person at Menards).
