Such a sweet story.
My grandson is autistic, he loves this book. This is the second one we've bought, as he looked at the last one and carried it around all the time, until it fell to bits. Such a sweet story too.

Good for kids, not adults who like realism
My son enjoys reading this book, which is the important bit, but I find it distractingly unrealistic. How does a slug, by himself, without any arms, attach the various shells to himself? Falling at speed and from a height onto a washing line should have caused Norman great injuries. And using underpants as wings is ridiculous enough when you have arms and can keep them spread, let alone if you are a slug!
