Makes practicing math fun!
My kids both need to practice their math more and this is such a fun way to reinforce what they learn at school at home too. I like that it is easy to use and both of my kids can use this for the different math facts that they have to work on. I also like that it’s easy to take on the go..:in the car, on plane rides and even waiting at a restaurant for their food.

Great way to practice math skills
I bought this math shark for my 8yr old son to practice his math skills over the summer. It turns out to be a great math review for my 4 yr old too. The various levels and skills that the kids can work on makes this a toy that will grow with a child. The display screen is simple and not too over stimulation. The volume and sounds coming from the math shark are pleasant and not too loud or too annoying ( I am very sensitive to toys with sounds... this one is great). The only negative thing I have to say is that the first one I bought had a screen that was dysfunctional (two parts of the screen did not work making it difficult to do the math problems). We got a replacement and the second one works great. I would say this would be a great gift but I'd be pretty embarrassed to give someone thing that arrived broken.

Love it
My son is adhd and struggles to focus so making it a game has been fun and challenging for him. I also like that it keeps up with time spent on a learning task. This way we can keep up with improvement in a more realistic way and it adds to the challenge.

STARTED SMOKING!!
the first batteries i put in died very fast which i thought was weird. i replaced them (even used the energizer brand) and the toy started heating up, you could smell burning plastic! i instantly took batteries out and had to let the toy cool down before throwing it out!! beware y’all!

Good for autistic grandson
Was kind of hard for me to figure out but not for an autistic 9 year old who loves math and numbers of any kind. Good quality and should last him quite awhile. Packaged well.

Great Math Practice
We got this game for our daughter needing to practice math and trying to give a variety of ways to practice. This game has been fun because she can time herself to try to be faster than the previous time. I wish there were options to do addition and subtraction without having to pick a specific number to practice (ie: addition 5's is everything plus 5) It would be nice to have an option of random. She enjoys it and it is a good way to keep on top of her math skills. Surprisingly it is fun to me as well as I try some of the harder functions to test my skills on thing I don't use in daily adult life. There is a wide variety of skills to test and I can see my daughter being able to use this for years to come.

Calculator mode doesn't show operation
I was disappointed in the calculator function. Although the package shows a full operation in the display beside the caption "Fully Functional Calculator", in the calculator mode the operation is in fact not shown. Each individual entry is shown as it is made, but this removes the previous entry, as does the result display. This means the child can't play with numbers on their own and see what happens, such as entering and seeing on the display "100 + 100= 200". As the display is capable of this, as it does in the "Learning Mode", you would think this would be a valuable addition. Also, the display could be better, as would the ability to adjust the volume. The range of problems in the learning mode seems to be good.
