GS900 GutterSweep Rotary Gutter Cleaning System, Easy Gutter Maintenance, Safely & Effectively Maintains Gutters from the Ground Up Without Needing a Ladder
B**!
OK for some applications.
So I have a home with rain gutters about 18 ft in the air. Needless to say, I was not very excited to get up on the roof to clean them out! This product looked like an awesome solution. Unfortunately, the results were mixed. The good:The attachments and poles are well made. The best tool in the bunch was the scrub brush that can spray water- it really does a good job freeing up the dirt.It can actually reach quite high from ground level as long as you have the pole attachments. The bad:The rotating brush/paddle attachment broke pretty quick after I started using it. My drill was too beefy, and stripped out the plastic coupling inside the gear. If you have a drill with a clutch, put it on as low of a setting as you can.Its HEAVY! After working for a while, my shoulders and arms were on fire. The "flicking" motion described in the manual for lobbing the dirt/debris out is not really possible once the extensions are attached.Honestly, I cant see myself getting a lot of use out of this. I am attaching some anchors and wearing fall protection next time I have to go up, and just doing it by hand. I can see this being a great product for light residential clean up, but it is not working that well for me. Once the extensions are attached it gets very cumbersome to use.3 stars. Product gets a meh.

Meh
This kinda works. For loose leaves and light small stuff but not to well for pine needles and denser stuff. One of the issues is it will kick stuff up but not entirely out of the gutter. Some of it just ends up back on the roof to be blown right back into the gutter. You may also want to wear goggles as some of the stuff will be kicked right onto you falling on you. Can be messy. It is a little wonky I don't regret buying it but I wouldn't buy it again. Its made ok but its more of a weekend warrior or occasional use product. We'll see how long it lasts. You'll need a chuck drill.

Broke During First Use
I really wanted this device to work but, alas, it didn't. The problem is that in order to use the main attachment -- the rotary paddle brush -- you need this right angle gear drive attachment for it to work effectively. This locks the brush in one of two positions so you can either sweep the gutter from right to left or, if you reverse the direction, sweep from left to right. Anyway, mine broke and now just swivels around and won't stay fixed. This makes the paddle brush flop around and not generally not stay in the gutter. I suppose I can still use the gutter scoop and the gutter brush as they don't require the right angle drive attachment.I will say it DID do a pretty good job while it was working. I cleaned out my two lower gutters with no issue. I found that even with the extension, I still needed to use a stepladder to reach the upper gutters on my house and maneuvering the pole is a bit unwieldy. I was hoping to find a replacement part on the web but I'm not sure if they sell them or not. I've not found any listed which is a bit of an oversight.Anyway, I'll still use it in reduced capacity I guess. These types of tools are always a gamble as they often just don't work all that well. Maybe there really is no substitution for a tall ladder and bare hands digging through the gutter.

Pleasantly Surprised by Quality and Ease-of-use
I was skeptical as to how useful this would be; however I was pleasantly surprised.I'm deathly scared of ladders so I needed to find a solution to clean my gutters that wouldn't require me to face my fears. I looked at a bunch of products and eventually decided on this. Most commonly people purchase attachments to their hose that "blow out" the leaves and junk; however, reviews frequently indicated that water pressure was an issue. I really wanted to buy that fancy robot but couldn't afford it.What I liked:- the poles are solid and easy to fit together- the drill attachment is solid and stays together- the motorized cleaner is well constructed made of good quality rubber and bristles. It did a good job at blowing out the leaves. What I don't like:- my gutters are a bit high and these poles just barely reach -- if I could I'd probably buy a short extension pole to assist.- assembly is relatively intuitive, but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. If I wasn't able to just figure it out, I'm not sure the instructions would have helped.

Not Great, but Okay
This item works okay, it is about as much work as pulling out the ladder, though.- The drag on the drill is very heavy (in order to finish the job I had to break out the corded drill).- Stuff flies all over (use goggles and keep your mouth closed very tightly while using).- One needs to cover the drill to protect it (i used a large shopping bag).- Manipulating the head between the gutter supports is a pain (it got stuck in one and I needed the ladder anyway to unstick it).It did do the side of the house where the ground is heavily slopped quite nicely. So, it is of value to me.

Great product
I purchased the kit and two extension kits. I needed the extra length to reach the very top row of gutters on our house. It's a two story house with a sloping back yard and two rows of gutters. I was very skeptical of it working but it did an amazing job. I only used the rotary tool, didn't need any of the other tools, though it comes with quite a few. Used a corded drill. I hate cordless tools. Just advanced till I ran into a brace, backed up, lifted over the brace, and repeated. It was much easier to do the top row with this tool than it was to do the lower row with a ladder. With one a half extension kits installed it did not bend at all. With both kits on, it did bend a bit under the weight but it held up fine. Almost a little sad I have to but it away now till fall when I'll need it again.
