Review: The basic puzzle ball structure is easy to get to grips with - The basic puzzle ball structure is easy to get to grips with, and the idea behind the animals is fun and inventive - but just as a warning - the shaping on some of the heads is really rather complex by amigurumi standards - I'm an experienced crocheter so managed but it was a fun and impressive skill workout. The explanations and photographs are fantastic though - just thought I'd slightly forewarn people that the shaping is complex with lots of short row working, working part rows and swapping between working in rounds and rows and back again. I enjoyed the challenge though - normal amigurumi can get a bit boring after the umpteenth round of increasing and decreasing DC.
Review: Love it! - Love this book! I made the turtle first and I am very pleased. I found the pattern easy to follow, but I definitely wouldn't call them easy patterns!

The basic puzzle ball structure is easy to get to grips with, and the idea behind the animals is fun and inventive - but just as a warning - the shaping on some of the heads is really rather complex by amigurumi standards - I'm an experienced crocheter so managed but it was a fun and impressive skill workout.
