Titled after a quote from Haring’s journals, Art Is for Everybody centers on the artist’s activism, the emphasis he placed on community and his egalitarian approach to art and life. The volume is organized chronologically and thematically, emphasizing Haring’s work made with publics in mind such as the subway drawings and murals, his collaborative practice and his unflinching belief that art is essential in making a better world. Keith Haring was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1958 and arrived in New York from Pittsburgh in 1978, befriending artists including Kenny Scharf and Jean-Michel Basquiat. During the 1980s, Haring achieved international recognition and participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. After being diagnosed with HIV in 1988, he focused his activism on the AIDS crisis. Less than two years later, Haring died of an AIDS-related illness. Great insight into the person
What a great art book! There are several books out there about Haring, and I think this one is beautiful.

Perfect coffee table book
This book is so cool. Have it placed on my coffee table and it makes a good addition to the aesthetic but also a nice thing for people to look at and flip through when I have guests over.

A great book on a great artist!
What a book! Beautifully printed and very informative. Keith was one of a kind, a great artist and looking through this brings back great memories of the late 80's and 90's. Rest in power, Keith, thank you for your very cool art!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Coffee Table Book! I absolutely love this book! It makes for the perfect coffee table addition—big enough to make a statement, but not too bulky. It adds such a stylish touch to any space. I’ve received so many compliments on it that I’ve decided to give it away as a gift—I just know others will love it as much as I do. If you’re looking for something that’s both beautiful and practical, this book is a must-have!

Nice color, good value
I am obsessed with the color of this book -- it is a very vibrant green (somewhere in between kelly and emerald) and it is just a beatiful book to have on your shelf or coffee table. For a book like this that can be used as decor if desired, it is a really good value. Other "coffee table books" can be very pricey, with many being priced at over $100. This has been a go-to housewarming gift for me lately, as it is one of my favorite books and is designed so beautifully. Most recently gave to a friend for her new Miami apartment and she loved it!

This book is a wonderful look at Haring, his work, and how both made an indelible mark in history. It is a detailed companion to the Broad show as well as a rich, stand-alone experience.

Sarebbe un bel libro di design da esporre in casa e da sfogliare. Do 1 stella perché essendo un libro di arte si presenta danneggiato e non è bello da mostrare così. AGGIORNAMENTO. chiesto sostituzione e il secondo libro in sostituzione è arrivato in condizioni ancora peggiori del primo.
