ESSAGER 8 in 1 USB C Hub with M.2 SSD Enclosure, 4K HDMI, USB 3.2 Gen2, 100W PD, Aluminum Alloy Enclosure for PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs

Appears sturdy and well made. It gets warm when in use so give it adequate ventilation. Comes with a tiny screwdriver and a piece of silicone to conduct heat (I guess?) from the SSD to the case. Adequate number of USB ports, with the card reader providing an extra bonus. All in all appears to be a very good value.

I am happy with the quality and performance of this equipment. I had to salvage an SSD from a dead HP Omen laptop. Swapped the drive into this unit and now have access to all the data for transfer to another laptop. Bonus is to attach more devices as needed to my MacBook Pro M3 Max with only 3 USB-C ports. Will run dual HDMI with no problem. One from the MacBook, the other from the adapter.

A while back, I retired an old laptop and decided to re-use the SSD in it and I found this hub that has room for a SSD. Since I need a hub anyway for connecting to various other things when I travel, this seemed to be a good idea, and it was. Recognized the SSD, no problem. If you have a single sided SSD (components stick out on one side...), then you have plenty of room. If you have a double sided SSD like I used, it can be a bit of a tight fit, but it did work (just). A word of warning...this thing can get hot if you transfer a lot of files. Not too warm for unsafe operations, just don't rest your fingers on it. ;o)

Not for power users, more of a novelty, not worth the price. the drive comes with only 1 USB 3.2 port and 1 rather useless USB 2 port, the secret button to depress if your SSD doesn't auto connect, useless. In fact I actually bumped the button during transfer test and reset the SSD and had to restart the transfer. The read and write speeds are quite slow to other comparable devices. I could not complete an entire transfer of 1 GB to and from the device. Also there is a fairly strong magnet right next to the SSD, I don't like that, it may cause data issues. Good idea, bad implementation

The ESSAGER 8 in 1 arrived on time. So far is working okay. If the ESSAGER 8 IN 1 had a detachable cable detaching from ESSAGER unit instead of being hardwired to ESSAGER unit. The ESSAGER 8 in 1 hub would be more reliable. I have to flip the ESSAGER unit upside down while connected to my laptop for a reliable connection. The ESSAGER 8 in 1 hub can become very hot while gaming. I bought a laptop cooling pad, gaming laptop cooler with 6 fans to keep my laptop cool while gaming. I place the ESSAGER 8 in 1 near fans to keep cool. So far, the ESSAGER 8 in 1 hub with M.2 SSD is holding up at a decent price.

I love this thing. I primarily bought so that I could connect my Surface to a TV. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it functions as a miniature docking station. I absolutely love the fact that I can have a high capacity SSD so I no longer need to carry a bunch of thumb drives. It has enough speed for me tonwatch movies from the SSD. Perfect for the business traveler.

Wont work on Samsun A7 tablets, the M2 drive is readable as a regular usb-C port but not thunderbolt. I have used I've tried as ExFat formatting with multiple devices but wont see the hub on a brand new A7. I'd recommend getting a hub that's cheaper and more compatible and connecting other devices through it.
