I write this review as a true representation of decades of experiences as a consumer and user of products such as this with a large extended family and now grandchildren.This cape is just about perfect for its intended purpose namely protecting the clothing etc of the darling little devil determined to paint everting including their underwear1/ It is a good size, easily adjustable with a little imagination. I use a combo of folding and the oversized elastic bands abandoned by postmen in my neighbourhood to hold over long sleeves up2/ Fairly liquidproof. So far the youngsters poster paint has not seeped through despite her best efforts.3/ Easy to clean, dry fold and store.4/ Inexpensive, well worth the cost as compared to the potential hazard to the youngsters clothes all of which add up to a pretty penny for even the cheapest clothing.This is a bright red and delivered very quickly in a small envelope type packaging. suitable to purpose, a distinct rarity for Amazon related purchases.Simply put the youngsters arms through the capes arms, opening to the rear and fasten in place with the small Velcro type tab. JOB DONE.Pull up the sleeves , fold if needed ( or loose bands S above) but not necessary with my average sized three year old grand daughter.She smiles when it comes out as mummy will not get cross at mucky clothes whilst grand pops spoils her.OVERALL,A very good item, fit for purpose which is as good a phrase of praise as I ever tend to give.

A really good fit for a 5 yr old and it will fit her into her 6th year. Light weight but does the job of keeping her clothes paint free.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter. I found it to be a good size for her, not too big and not too small, she can move freely thus creating more wonderful works of art than I have space for displaying. The material is thin and lightweight yet seems sturdy enough for the job intended and has definitely protected the clothes beneath from getting any paint on them. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend.
