Mahogany Neck Rest for Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Ukulele and More

Simple but extremely useful, every guitarist, luthier and technician should have one of these.
Not really much to add to what has already been said in other reviews except my own experiences, and wth that in mind I can't praise this highly enough. It's a brilliant bit of kit. It's secure, so it doesn't slip or slide all over the place. It's solid, so it's very robust. The neck rests are nicely padded, so no damage to my guitar necks. It's surprisingly small, so it's very portable. If you do your own setups (like me), or you set up other peoples guitars, you need this. If you have someone else do your setups but you can handle a simple string change, you need this. If you do neither of these, you're probably playing a piano. As it also comes with a liftime guarantee, any regrets you might have will be a really, REALLY long way off. A lifetime away, in fact.

Essential to my tool box
This is a nice product, love the shape and has become an essential tool with my guitar work should have had one years ago.I did think though that the finishing off was a bit shoddy but sorted it out with my scalpel knife and also glued none slip material to the bottoms which stops it sliding about on certain surfaces.Good value for the money. Speedy delivery too.Regards Jeff

A must for working on a guitar
I've just used this rest to to replace nut, saddle and do a general clean up on my acoustic guitar. It certainly beats a rolled up towel. It keeps the neck steady and makes it a lot easier to work on the instrument. It also fits the neck of my Archtop.I initially thought it wouldn't fit the wider neck of my classical but it does, just. The lower side fits my Tele but I've just tried it for fit in that case.I was going to carve a neck rest from a block of wood but for under £14 it's a no brainer. The item itself is made from a sustantial piece of mahogany and thick felt padding to protect the neck. The only downside in my case is I should have got this rest years ago.If you do any work on guitars, even changing strings this neck rest should be a priority.Highly recommended.

Almost perfect.
The finish is not perfect but it is more than adequate. It is smaller than I (foolishly) expected but it does the job perfectly. Most of us could make one if we could be bothered but I doubt I could have made one as well as this and it saved me a lot of work. I don't begrudge the cost at all and I no longer have to balance the neck on a pile of books. A small cost to pay to avoid damaging my guitars.

Very Good Design but poorly made!
Stylish and good looking! Practical! However Quality Control and attention to the detail is missing! The padding is not cut and centered properly! The padding material is probably not the best of choice. In addition rubber grip on the flat surface could be applied!

Great tool for work on most instruments
Great tool for work on most instruments.I have just tried it on a Tenor Banjo,Mandolin, Uke and a range of guitarsfrom Electric to nylon stringed acustic. They all sit well and are secure in this holder allowing safe string changingand other work.

Expensive but useful
A bit expensive for what is in essence an off-cut of wood with coat of lacquer and some felt attached, but it is very useful with guitars whose head angles back far to touch the work surface while the guitar is being worked on. Some anti-slip material on the back(s) would make it better still.

1. it looks durable to last a long time ...
1. it looks durable to last a long time.2. i use this to setup my electric bass, but the other groove on the neck rest would likely be able to accommodate guitars.3. the price is a little off my budget. i had to save up a while before i was able to buy this.
