If you have a standard double bed, ie 1.8m wide, then yes this will definitely cover it & then some. By 'ends', I assume you mean the sides - most duvet covers have zips or fasteners at one end of the longest run, so, your bed is 1.8m wide, the duvet is 2.35m, meaning you have 55cm overhang, or 27.5cm each side. If you are American, that translates to just under a foot each side. Your length will be somewhere between 1.8m & 2m. The duvet length is 2.9m, meaning you have 90cm, or 3ft overhang at the end. If you rotate duvet 90deg you will have just under 2ft overhang each side, but as above, one side will have the zip or fasteners of the duvet cover. Much will depend upon how high your bed is from the floor & in which orientation your duvet cover looks best. In summary, this duvet is designed for a bed 2m x 2m, with approx 2ft overhang to each side & the toe end, when adjusted for pillow placement & cover fasteners on the short side. Ordinarily, it is not suitable for a standard double bed.
