Rowntrees Fruit Gums Sachet 43.5g (Pack of 18)

These are the best tasting gummies I have found. The fruit flavors are vibrant. They are a product of Ireland, and therefore include NO high fructose corn syrup. They are firmer than most gummies, not your usual rubber texture, almost a hard candy, so to protect my teeth, I usually just let them melt in my mouth... the product came quickly, and with a long best by date. I chose the small packs so I can carry one with me for a snack.

I first discovered Rowntree's Fruit Gums over 20 years ago on a trip to the UK. They are a bit hard to describe, as I can't think of any American equivalent. They are a "gummy" candy, much firmer than gummy bears, but not hard as a rock like Jujubes. And they have flavors made with real fruit as an ingredient (along with the artificial ones). However, they taste really fruity. My favorite are the ones that look almost black, but are, in fact, blackcurrant. Again, a flavor you don't find in American candies. We used to take a yearly trip to the UK and I'd by 40 or more rolls to bring home. Now that we don't visit yearly I'm happy to find them on Amazon at a better price than the import shops sell them at. Not to be confused with Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, which are much softer and covered in sugar crystals.

Coming from a very English family these have been something that I've enjoyed (when we were able to find them) since I was young. Love that they were so readily available here and at an amazing price. Just how I remember them. So darn good and so different from "American" sweets.

Pathetic packaging. Order 40+ packs of gums and they were all shipped in separate boxes, not an issue in itself. However the gums were in boxes much larger than necessary, with no additional packing. As a result they bounced around the box and were loose and all over the place. Packages were split open.Additionally, some of the gums obviously had the section of the label removed where the expiration date was. I'm sure an obvious attempt to hide the date which suggests it was expired.Not sure I will ever do business with this seller again.They otherwise soured a very enjoyable product.Edit December 2013 - I should add since it appears to have been removed from my original review above that my experience was with a 3rd party selling through Amazon. I have since ordered these directly from Amazon with no issues.

Loved these candies as a kid. The shape has changed and the packaging is different than then. But the taste and texture is what I remember! Also I'm happy to find out that they are vegan!!Just be aware that the picture was showing the "roll" packaging version. But read the description to see that this is the "sachet" packaging version so you're not thrown off like I was initally.

Just received another batch of these. If you know them then you know how good they are. This batch was shipped from England to me in the US and arrived about 2 weeks after I ordered on Amazon. They are quite fresh with a date 10 months in the future. This is a good supplier and excellent candies for a good price. I'll order again when I run out.

Love the flavors. Sometimes the gym drops are a little hard to start. But you get full fruit flavor. I am addicted to these Rowntrees Fruit Gums.

Rowntree’s Fruit Gums are a taste of my childhood and I am very glad to be able to order them from Amazon. As other reviewers have noted the candy itself is a harder chewier version of gummy bears, however, in my opinion, they actually taste of fruit. While the candy may be an acquired taste, this product, as shipped out by candy sales is definitely the original one. The candies are delivered from UK, arrive in a reasonable period of time (not prime shipping), and I can fully attest to the freshness of the product. If fruit gums are what you desire, do not hesitate to order them here.
