But of a mess
The series started off with promise but the finale fails to answer a host of questions while leaving a bunch of plot holes gaping wide. What are the entities? Why does the clean room need to be clean? Why does Astrid behave the way she does? Never answered. Then the conclusion raises even more questions that we never get answered. Why did Chloe need to bring down Astrid in the end? Why could the entities not just kill Astrid and co whenever they wanted? Why wait until the end of the story? What were the crashed ships which yielded the clean room tech? This was clearly a 'make it up as you go along' project in the style of List and suffered from the same issues as Lost. The writer just had no idea how to bring all the weird threads together into a coherent narrative and conclusion.Still I give this 2 stars for the art. Character art is mostly bad but the monsters were excellent and truly nightmarish. Would've given three stars but dropped one for the cringeworthy wokeness shoehorned in at every opportunity, from the predictable 'everyone is gay or bi' stuff to the numerous Mary Sues cluttering up the way overbloated ensemble of masculine warrior women. Boring and cliched.

Superb, one of my favourite serties of recent times.
Spectacular ending to a brilliantly written and drawn series. What a horrible, wonderful imagination Gail Simone has. Bravo.

great finale.
Brilliant story with a finite conclusion in this volume that is nevertheless satisfying. Fantastic artwork that place anime horror back in Kindergarten.

Artwork Ruined The Story
The art work of the previous two volumes was brilliant but the drop in quality for volume 3 was jarring. It completely ruined this volume for me.
