This brush is so much better than I expected. The cap fits on the back of the brush snugly. It's not loose or wobbly. The cap has a small hole for the brush to finish drying off once stored. The whole thing comes to a very nice length once put together. It's not heavy but it does have a nice solid feel, at least for me.I was pleasantly surprised, as I expected this to be much smaller. I have a round #10 watercolor brush from some weird off brand that I actually adore. Basing myself on that brush I expected this #6 to be smaller, so I was (wonderfully) surprised to find this brush as wide as my supposed #10. I'm guessing the off brand brush doesn't exactly have the correct size. I'd been anticipating the need for an eventual #10 or #12 travel brush but it turns out I won't need one for a while yet.The brush comes to a very nice point, and allows for a variety of marks; from really thin delicate ones, to nice wide strokes. The bristles pick up water wonderfully. Weather here is currently pretty dry and warm, but even so I was able to lay a nice uniform wet on dry wash in a matter of seconds.When ordering the brush, I paid little mind to the case it comes with, fully expecting to just chuck the brush in my pen case and go. However, the case is just wide and long enough to also fit the other paintbrushes I cut to size and have had banging around for some time now.All in all I'm super happy with my purchase and head over heels for this beautiful paintbrush. It will, in fact, be a joy to paint with. Can't wait to see how it holds up to lots of use. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good overall travel brush with a balance between quality, cost, and functionality. It's beautiful, paints like a dream, and works really well for general painting on the go.

I have a few travel brushes that are kind of —junk. This brush is great. Full body and great point. I use it not only for travel but every day painting at home. Holds water. Crisp snap. Nice point. Pretty rose gold. What’s not to like. Feels good in my hand also. Love Kristy’s products. Never disappoints. I have her watercolor pots also. Ceramic and lively. I like to surround myself with pretty tools. Some I find at goodwill. Kristy’s are great. Always feels rich.

This brush is fun to use. Spoil yourself or give it as a gift, it is an elegant feeling to paint with a luxury brush like this. The quality is great and it works just fine. I always reach for it first and it has a luxury feel to it. The additional pink case is great for storage. I don’t travel much so I use it as an everyday brush. Great item.

The Joy Chaser travel brush is very high quality, it extends to normal brush length and feels great to hold, holds water as it should, and the point is so outstanding it's hard to describe! You can get big, broad strokes or the tiniest details like you get with a liner or 0 brush. So versitile, and so easy to keep in your bag with its safe and durable travel top.

Kristy Rice Travel brush performs wonderfully, comes to a point every time, the synthetic fibers hold just the right amount of water and watercolor. Winner! It comes with a thoughtful felt, handmade pouch, lovely. However I would have given it 5 stars if the rose gold handle/casing would (should have been) metal, IMO. The brush is far worth being in rose gold metal, it would feel better in the hand and be worthy of such a stellar brand.

I am an art supplies hoarder and I love this brush more than my Princeton neptunes, Princeton quills, all my silver brushes! I love this brush so much part of me is terrified I won’t be able to buy a replacement years later. Resisting the urge to buy a second one. But it’s gonna happen. I’m gonna buy a spare emergency brush in case Kristy ever stops selling them. The POINT on this bad boy is precision personified! The belly holds lots of water so when you want to do big washes you can or super fine detail. I mostly paint at home but have been loving sitting on the couch and just using this one brush. It’s is incredible quality. Good snap, fine points, juicy belly, light weight but balanced, hole to drain water, doesn’t pop apart when using!!!! Holy grail of travel brushes and for me just plain ole holy grail for my favorite brush. It’s some how incredibly soft and sharp at the same time. How did you do that?!

I can not wait to use this brush! The whole design feels sturdy and really well made! And on top of it, the brush itself is beautiful! I am almost scared to use it and get it dirty! Lol kristy really out did herself on this brush. I'm sure it's working quality is top notch and I finally have a travel brush to use outdoors and plein air painting. It comes in a size 6 and the white part after the ferrule has beautiful calligraphy that says joy chaser! And it looks almost porcelain! The barrel and ferrule is rose gold and the brush seems to be a high quality fibers that have just the right amount of snap and a very nice sharp point! I hope she makes more of these because I will be the 1st to buy all her travel brushes. I already plan on getting the matching palette to take on the go with me and im thinking about trying the other brush sets after seeing how great this one is. I may have to buy another one of these as well just for back up in case anything should happen to this beautiful joy chaser!

As soon as I came across Kristy’s notification on YouTube about the release of this brush, I ordered it and it arrived TODAY!!! I LOVE the size and how it snaps back to a point! Although I have similar travel brushes by other manufacturers - I can tell this will be one of my favorites.I began following Kristy on YouTube at the heights of the pandemic and I simply love her spirit and joy for watercolor and teaching. My watercolor journey is so much more rewarding, because of Kristy Rice! In addition to this brush, I own both of Kristy’s lovely brush sets and 2 of her beautiful palette (my husband insisted I get 2 - just in case it sells out again, he loves the colors, too). I must say that all of her artfully designed products are created with care, deliberation and pride for offering great art supplies.
