Another great album
Tom Petty writes great songs and with great production and musicians, delivers the goods again.

Wow, amazing album
I bought this for a friend who considers himself a TPATH fan but had not heard of this album, - he uses a streaming service and I could not find this album on what he was using. - This could be Tom’s finest album, - perhaps lesser known because by the time this was released Tom was not so popular with the radio stations, so it got little or no airtime. I would say that at least 3 of these songs are as good as anything that Tom has ever written. Well worth buying if you enjoy any of his earlier work, nice to return to an album that you have to discover and listen to a couple of times before it sinks in, and when it does the songs will stay with you forever.

Wildflowers
On rare occasions a CD comes along where every track is good. This is one such CD. An excellent mix of everything you ever wanted to hear from Tom Petty. From the pensiveness of Wildflowers, You Don't Know how it Feels, Only a Broken Heart and To Find a Friend, to the rock beat of You Wreck Me and Honey Bee, with a touch of country thrown in for good measure, this is must have CD. After one play-through the songs were all going round in my head, and they are still there. For anyone who wants a change from Refugee and American Girl (good though they are) this is the CD for you. Highly recommended.

Great quality sound on a classic album
Brilliant C.D with audiophile quality production and engineering. I have the Heartbreakers Anthology on CD and I am already a Tom Petty fan. I heard “You wreck me” on rock radio and bought this on the strength of that. All the other 13 tracks are just as good. This is a T.P solo album and is every bit as good as his work with the Heartbreakers. Thoroughly recommended.

Sweet, fruity and satisfying - like an Eccles cake...
Although a TP&TH fan from the beginning, I came to this album only now because 'Wreck Me' featured in an episode of 'Sneaky Pete'. That song is probably the highlight of an album which, with a running time of over an hour, contains very little filler. The Rick Rubin production is unmistakeable. As others have said, a TP acoustic album would have been one to treasure on the basis of the ballads on this one.I suppose my only other thought was the disconcerting resemblance of opener 'Wildflowers' to 'Jennifer Eccles'...

Heartfelt and beautifully melodic - only rival for Full Moon Fever's crown.
An absolutely wonderful album, whose only rival I would argue, would be the 1989 classic 'Full Moon Fever'. Never afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve, beautiful lyrics that deal with doubt, loss and ultimately hope, amid some beautiful melodies. There really is not a wart to be found on this album. Can't recommend enough.

Sublime
Superb collection of songs from Tom Petty, written at one of the darkest points of his life. Each song has something poignant to say. I return to this album time and time again.

Wildflowers
Some nice stuff which I hadn't heard before, this is well mixed and excellent if your listening on headphones as are Full Moon Fever and Into the Great Wide Open. Wild flowers is mix of hard rock to ballads and an acoustic track "Don't Fade on Me" which left me wishing Tom had produced a full acoustic album in his time.
