Dr. Bronner's Lavender Pure-Castile Liquid Soap, Body Wash, 16 oz

This makes very good hand wash the fragrance is natural and the feel clean is awesome. I also use it to clean body odor from my clothes when washing.

I'm just going to come out and admit that I absolutely hate cleaning strap goods. I can clean and condition saddles and boots all day but bridles, breastplates, and martingales? I'd rather go scrub the toilet.Since Castile soap in bar form is standard for giving tack a good cleaning, I figured I'd try the liquid Castile in an attempt to get myself to keep my bridles and such cleaner. Mine are always covered in grime because the horses sweat, the sweat gets on the leather, the dust from the arena settles on it, and the whole mess dries into caked-on sweaty grime. Which stays there because I hate cleaning bridles and breastplates. So I bought this, and I chose the lavender both because I like it and because it supposedly is calming to horses.Let me tell you, one use of Dr. Bronner's and I was hooked! It is super easy to add a squirt of this to a bucket, put some water on top of it, dunk a sponge in and go. It cuts through the sweat and grime like nothing and is super fast because I don't even need to wipe it off with a towel afterward. It doesn't create a ton of suds, so I just clean the leather and let it hang to dry for a few minutes. When I grab everything to put it away it is soft, supple, and CLEAN! This stuff really leaves a nice luster to the leather and doesn't dry it out at all, which I was worried about. It has made cleaning so easy that I clean after every ride, so my tack looks fabulous. And of course the lavender scent is a bonus.I am always going to keep a bottle of this in my tack trunk. It is cheap too, which is a huge bonus considering how expensive everything relating to horses is. I recommend it to all of my barn buddies!

Great product for organic / natural living, but proceed with caution if you're using as shampoo. I first discovered Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap when I was searching for natural shampoo options -- I read the positive reviews on Amazon that described how wonderful this soap is for hair and I was excited to try it on my own curly, dry, wild hair. Well...things did not go as I expected. The soap (diluted) dried my scalp, left a disgusting waxy residue, and my hair was so heavy and oily that it appeared wet even when it was "dry." An internet search revealed that many people had problems using castile soap as shampoo and it certainly does not work for all hair types; however, some people have good results, so it depends. If you do try it as shampoo, I suggest doing some research first, dilute heavily, and use an acidic rinse afterward (although this did little to help my hair).Although I will NEVER touch my hair with this again (I have moved on to shampoo bars), I am currently using it as body wash (it has pretty much eliminated any winter skin dryness), for washing my dog, and for general cleaning. It is an incredible value -- be sure to dilute as it is highly concentrated -- I can see this bottle lasting me a loooong time. An excellent product that is perfect for my natural lifestyle, highly recommend!

it smells really nice and just like lavendar. only a small amount is needed as this is very concentrated.

This is such a nice body wash and I really love the smell of lavender. I also know that castile soap is very good for your skin and I plan to continue to using it.

I really like this for all the options of things you can use it for. It's a good long term item for the closet. The soap rinses off well and the scents are very pleasant. I tend to use a loofah and body washes since they rinse better in my hard water.

Dr. Bronner's is the best! Uses natural ingredients and smells amazing for an affordable price
