The Murder of Al-Husayn

This is one of the best books I have read on the tragedy of Karbala, I recommend this book for those interested in understanding the historical events of what transpired between Imam Husayn (a.s.) and Yazid ibn Muwiyah.

This book goes in to all the details of Karbala from the lead up, the actual event and the aftermath. Well researched and a great translation into the English language. Highly recommended!

Well written book.

This book takes you through the events that led to the ultimate sacrifice by the prophet’s grandson in a way that you understand the reason behind each one. After reading this book, you will acquire a comprehensive understanding of how Hussain’s great stand exposed the so-called muslim rulers of the time. It exposed their inhumane, vile nature and sheer greed for power and wealth at the cost of their faith and basic humanity. It’s really worth a read.
