I only use the rear. My down tube is wide enough I don't need a front fender. I think the design is genius.

Great idea, but really a poor quality build.The fender components are very difficult to extend, but can be done with two hands to avoid breaking them off the bike.The real issue is the front fender. Despite tightening it down to the point, I was afraid I was going to break the cheap internal components, after a 30 mile ride in the bike rack, the buffering of the wind had caused it to come loose and fall out. Gone.If the rear fender could be purchased separately, it may might be worth doing, but the front fender is nothing but a problem.

A collapsible rear fender is a fantastic idea, except when it’s really difficult to extend the fender. I mean really difficult. I can’t even imagine how hard it will be when actually attached to the bike and have less leverage. I would NOT recommend.

The rear fender went on fairly easily, but it is really flimsy. I can't see it staying intact. It takes a pair of pliers and a screwdriver to extend on shrink the fender. The front fender took a grinder to cut off half the bracket, and I had to totally bend it out of the original shape to get it to work. They look really cool, but not very sturdy.

I really like the concept of folding fenders. I had no issue opening or closing either of the front or rear fenders. It has tight tolerances initially. I imagine it will loosen a little with more usage. The finish makes it look like carbon fibers and looks pretty slick on an all black color bicycle.Installing it on a bike is straightforward. I choose only to put it on the rear on my bikes. I like to see my front wheels from a top view unhindered. It is just my riding style and I am comfortable with that decision.I have been following ROCKBROS for a long time and they keep coming up with great ideas. So far, this fender is holding up well on my easy riding days.4.5 Stars!
