Believe me I did apply more than simple force to it. Great quality and easy to use. I love the pull out mouse pad tray. I have a 15.6 inch laptop and the tray fits it perfectly. It is very comfortable as well. It has grips on the bottom so it wont slip. Worth the purchase.

I have bought this item 3 times in the last 6 years because I use the hell out of it. First of all, it is very lightweight and slim and keeps the heat on my laptop at bay. But one of the biggest things for me is this is the only functional and acceptable laptop desk that I can find that is ambidextrous. When looking for a laptop desk with a mouse pad, us left-handed people are extremely limited. This one works for both left-handed and right handed people. The first one I bought lasted me four years and the second one lasted me 2 years. What I mean by that is the mouse pad section peels off. I tried to glue it down a little bit, but it’s still continues to do that. For the price I believe even lasting for two years is worth it. I hope they never stop selling these, I find that happens when I find something like this that appeals to a smaller demographic.

[Build] This lap-pad is built sturdy. The quality feels nice especially around the rubber pads. [Size] Extremely portable. I was looking for something to bring along with my ultra book in a bag for train use, and this Lap-pad is extremely useful. For referecne, my ultrabook is 13.3 inches. I was also surprised that it managed to also fit my 16 inch bulky gaming laptops. [Mouse Pad] Perhaps the weakest link of this lap-pad was the mouse-pad. It slides out very easy, and its a great size, however its too smooth, so if your mouse doesn't have rubber feet, it ends up sliding everywhere when you go to type something on your laptop. I wish it was made out of a less smooth material. [Conclusion] Overall, this lap-pad is built great, has a great size that fits up to 16 inch laptops, and is very lightweight. However, the biggest thing holding it back is the material used for the mousepad, despite this downside I would definitely still buy again. Update: I've modified the mousepad and added thin grip tape. This simple modification still allows the mousepad to slide out, but also keeps my mouse steady. This brings the product up to 5 stars. However. Im keeping it at 4 since I believe this should have been considered.

I already have a couple of lap desks but they were either too bulky or didn't have enough surface area to use a mouse. I wanted something really lightweight so I could pop it in a backpack or tote bag, but still use my mouse because I hate track pads. I initially wondered whether anyone made a retractable mouse surface that you could stick to the underside of a laptop, and honestly this feels like a similar solution without having to actually stick anything to your laptop. It's so lightweight and easy to take anywhere. The footprint is only very slightly larger than my laptop, but the mouse tray (which slides out from either direction) provides that extra area needed to use a mouse. The surface itself is just right, so no mousepad needed. The surface of the desk part is just grippy enough that the laptop stays put even if I'm using it at a tilt. It slides very easily into a laptop bag, backpack, tote bag. It doesn't provide any extra height but when I want to elevate it a little, I just put a throw pillow in my lap under it. I also use it on top of a very small tray table at times when I want to use my laptop with mouse and the mouse wouldn't ordinarily fit. Honestly, one of my favorite purchases that gets so much use.

Bought this product specifically for days where i want my "Lap" top tp actually live up to the name. With this my laptop can stay clear from my skin or the fabric of my clothes and I feel comfortable that my device is able to have good airflow as well. The wieght isn't too much and It even comes with a very sturdy mouse pad that is accessible for left handed people as well. I have no complaints.

This laptop desk is EXACTLY what I was looking for to keep my 13 inch creator's laptop stable on my lap and to allow proper cooling. My laptop's processor generates considerable heat. Good, simple construction, with an effective no-skid pad for the laptop I liked especially the slide out out mouse tray which works witheither a left or right-handed mouse and is built with a slightly raised edge that keeps the mouse fr falling off. This edge could be just a bit higher, but it's very effective as is Nothing to plug in or set up. This laptop desk fits very easily into the laptop bag.

I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I started using it. This lap desk makes working from anywhere convenient, high tables from coffee shops makes it more efficient to work, it feels stable (which was my biggest concern). The surface is solid and doesn’t feel flimsy, and I love that it has the non-slip design so my laptop stays in place. The retractable mouse tray is honestly one of my favorite features, it makes it feel like a mini workstation instead of just a lap desk. It’s also lightweight enough to move around easily but still sturdy, which is a good balance. I’ve been using it for work, random tasks, and even when I just want to sit somewhere more relaxed instead of at a desk. Exactly what I was looking for. I sit mainly on the couch when I use my laptop and this works great making sure it doesn't over heat and the mouse pad is an added bonus. Not flimsy and seems durable, lightweight

Playing games on my laptop really got it hot. I needed a pad without fans to cool off my legs. This works great. It is very light and my 15.7 inch laptop fits well. I can play easily without feeling the heat now. The slide out mouse pad seems a little flexible but you can switch to left or right and it might come in handy.

I've bought a few trays looking for something I can use consistently but they're always too thick or too heavy or the angles are wrong. Initially, I picked up the Targus version of this style of tray but I found myself disappointed. Laptops and keyboards weren't stable and mice were making spirited attempts to escape the mouse tray at speed. The idea is good so I kept looking until I found this. It's spot on for what I need and is everything my empty soul has been longing for. The two big grippy bits on the main tray face hold devices in place perfectly with no annoying rotation or slippage as you type. But I was most pleased with the mouse deck. Not only is it available on either side but it has a simple strip of grippy stuff along the bottom edge (only right facing). This alone is enough to arrest the motion of even the most active of rodents and prevents their escape into furniture. Lastly, considering the difference in price is only a few quid, the quality over the Targus is massive. The mouse deck on this tray feels a lot more solid and I feel like I can safely rest my hand on it
