Adventure and intrigue abound as the Doctor sets off on another journey through space and time. Joined by his lively companion Bill, the Doctor will come face to face with one of his oldest foes resulting in a chain of events that threaten himself and everyone around him. Review: It's Who, so it' has to be good! - And YES, we have a bonus. Now if only the Christmas episode is included, which I doubt, it would be perfect, but even without it is not a bad deal. IV/18/2017 Update IV/16/2017: "The pilot" appeared today at 3:06 a.m. Caracas time, WAY before SYFY on Directv (later tonight). With the captions in place! Way to go desertcart! Will see about the extras, and the rest of the season. Pretty good reboot, would much prefer a straight companion, even if this one works well to exclude any romance at this stage in the Doctor's life. Nardole is a cyborg. And will have TWO master's. NO SPOILERS. So what are you waiting for, buy it, watch and decide for yourself. Even when Doctor Who is bad it is still very good and the fans will see it. After all except for 'the Return of Doctor Mysterio' we have been more than a year without the Doctor. Now the main points are: It will be released by desertcart after it premieres in the UK, and BBC America (IV-15-2017). How long after? No one knows, probably a bit less than 24 hours, perhaps a bit more than that. (At this date is a fair bet that even desertcart doesn't know) The Close captions will appear, a bit after the release. So be patient, I bought "The Return of Doctor Mysterio" this Christmas 2016, and (I am in Caracas) I watched it first on Directv. It appeared finally and it was very, very good, the captions Also appeared in good time. Also I got a few extras, they were very nice and not announced, like how was it made and extra short programs broadcasted in the UK. Will they give us any extras? I hope so. Will it include the Christmas Special 2017? I hope so but I doubt it. It will be at the very least 12 episodes of the series, that is by the way the last of Peter Capaldi. New companion, also Nardole appears again, The "Mistress" (Missy) , the Daleks, watch the free trailer. What is not to like? Yes, another review made just on faith, and love for the Program. It is worth the money, to me YES, I like to rewatch it. How are things in Caracas, the birthplace of the 21th century Socialism? Internet comes and goes, I had 5 days without, people are eating garbage, and the government is stealing anything they want, a few days ago they took several bakeries. So enjoy the new series Peter Review: Good End To Peter Capaldi's Tenure As The Doctor. - I really enjoyed Peter Capaldi's tenure as The Doctor, and the 10th series was good and fun to watch with excellent moments of plot twists which I will not spoil in here. Peter Capaldi's Doctor is different then the new "modern" Doctors. He was the grumpy Doctor of William Hartnell's first Doctor with the mix of the all the modern Doctors. I also really enjoyed Michelle Gomez as Missy, and as quote Christopher Eccleston's Doctor. "Michelle Gomez was fantastic!" This is one one the best parts of the 10th series is the interaction of Peter Capaldi's Doctor and Michelle Gomez's Missy. The acting was well done between the 2 of them. Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts did very well as The Doctor's companion. I really like her interaction with Matt Lucas's Nardole. I am also glad they brought back Matt Lucas's Nardole in this series. I thought he was charming in the Christmas special The Husbands of River Song. In general Doctor Who 10th series was well acted and well written and a good end for Peter Capaldi's Doctor. One thing I wished this set also had was the the other Christmas special "Twice Upon A Time" which would complete this set instead of buying it on a separate Blu Ray. I was also glad to get this 10th series on sale at a great price. Other retailers had this series at around $60 - $80 price range and when I saw it on sale on desertcart I could not pass the chance on missing a great sale. I also got it shipped intact and with out any damage. (Pictures provided.)

I've waited until now to review this season because I adore Doctor Who, but I wasn't entirely sure about Capaldi. The first of his seasons was pretty rocky, the second better (I loved, loved, loved Clara's send-off episode), and now we're really rebooting with a new pair of companions. So how's that working out? BRILLIANTLY, that's how. I'm a sucker for season-long arcs, even if I may have been later than most to realize who has to be inside that vault. The strength of a season with an arc still largely depends on the individual episodes being good. So far, none of them have been disappointing, though some stand out: The Pilot (I see what you did there, beeb) convinced me that this companion and setting were going to work; Thin Ice and Knock Knock could have been written for the Fourth Doctor; Smile was disarming and unexpected; and the solution to Oxygen was frankly brilliant. Extremis was... I already used "unexpected," leaving me searching for the right words. It did a great job of misleading me, at least -- I was balking at the idea that learning one isn't "real" would lead to everyone choosing not to exist, but then, we learned what the aim of the simulation really was. I did not expect to see the monks from Extremis again for at least a few episodes. I wasn't thrilled to see them back so soon; I wasn't hapy with Bill's choice (If I can think of a way around a dilemma, I expect the Doctor's companions to be able to see it too!). But for the first time in three seasons, I've just watched a "to be continued" episode and I'm cussing at my television wanting to see WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. Which is... exactly as it should be. Welcome home, Peter Capaldi. You ARE the Doctor. And hiya, Bill Potts! You bring something I still can't identify, you're not like the other companions... and it's awesome. Even if you make mistakes sometimes. The Doctor is in: next stop, everywhere!

Great show, best Doctor Who season in quite a while.
This is a great season so far. I like the addition of Nardole as a main character in the plot, though he doesn't do much besides nag the Doctor for the first few episodes. However, there's really no continuation from season 9, it just starts out in a whole new place with vey little background until you get later into the season. Most episodes in the beginning seem to be well thought-out and exciting, but the rare three-part episode midway seems to drag out conflicts longer than needed. Only one episode felt rather dull as it goes back to the traditional plot where the characters are dropped on a different planet with no background and need to resolve a conflict between invading humans and another species. Typical us! :) Bill is a good choice for a companion as Pearl is a decent actor, and it's nice to see how they took on some contemporary issues while developing her character. There are many clever puns too. And Missy is back! I try not to spoil while still writing a decent review, but the writers had her and the Doctor take a different route than the classic 'He spoils her plans and she runs away' scenario, and to me this is where the season differentiates itself. You get to see a deeper connection between those two, and it's really cool! The season finale has not aired yet as of this writing, but from the trailers I've seen I think it is going to be one of the best episodes for a long time to come.

Rewatched so often. It's just awesome.
Still before the political destruction of Doctor Who so yeah, great series. Sadly, Doctor Who ended after the awesome Peter Capaldi's Doctor but we can still enjoy the awesome seasons leading up to that end. Plus, series 10 is awesome when watched again because it's so easy to find new things we missed. The stories are so great. Get this. You won't regret it.

Great Season!
Finally in Season 10, Peter Capaldi has come into his own and I'm loving this season! Sure, the other seasons were okay - it was Doctor Who, after all. But this season is different. Maybe it's because Capaldi knows he isn't coming back that he seems to have relaxed into the character and is having more fun. Or is it the addition of Bill, the "breath of fresh air" companion, who finally reacts the way a real person might in these crazy situations one finds themself while traveling with the Doctor. She is absolutely brilliant and I was predisposed not to like her having enjoyed, Clara, "The Impossible Girl," so much. The addition of Missy to this Season has also added complexity and texture to the Doctor's character as well as a very interesting subplot and interplay amongst the characters that is another reason this season is particularly great. This rendition of the Doctor does go around yelling at hapless humans way too much, calling them children, and telling them to just, "Grow up!" His arrogance come through loud and clear - Makes me miss the genial nature of Matt Smith. Don't suppose the next regeneration could bring him back?? Overall, I'll be sad to see Peter Capaldi go now that he seems to have come into his stride and with Bill and Nardole has great teamwork and a sense of humor. It seems poor timing on his part to leave when he's finally settled into the role. However, if he doesn't want to stay, no use trying to keep him. Very happy with my purchase of the show; has definitely been worth the money!

The Doctor returns and with new compaions and old enemies and will he survive to see another day?
The Doctor returns in series 10 of the now longest running sci-fi show in history. After the events of series Nine in which the Doctor has forgotten everything about Clara and his final encounter with River Song. He finds himself in New York city on Christmas being aided by a young boy named Grant. Grant curious to know who this strange man is and confuses him for Santa allows him into his home and he learns that he isn't Santa, but the Doctor. Grant confused as the Doctor lets him look at a Red Dwarf gem and confuses it for medicine as he wasn't feeling well. Swallows it and quickly developers super powers as a result of the gem. The Doctor checking in on Grant during his adolescence he returns to present day to investigate Harmony Shoals in New York City. A strange company with locations around the world and they have a plan. There the Doctor and Nardole who he rebuild to join him in his travels encounters reporter Lucy Fletcher as she too is looking into Harmony Shoals. What none of them know is that the enigmatic hero "The Ghost" is also on the case and is stopping evil wherever it is in New York City. What none of them know (expect for the Doctor of course) is that The Ghost is really Grant now Lucy's nanny and taking care of her infant daughter. The Doctor, Nardole, Grant and Lucy are embroiled in a plot by Harmony Shoals that intends to trigger a bomb and replace the minds of world leaders with their own and conquer the Earth. The Doctor on Earth has taken to teaching a college and refuses to travel in the TARDIS. While teaching he meets a young woman named Bill who works in the college cafeteria and wonders if all her life is meant working and serving chips to students as life passes her by. The Doctor impressed with Bill begins to teach her and in time he leaves Earth in the 21st century to show Bill the universe. There they encounter spacesuits willing to kill its occupants for the sake of business. British troops on Mars in the 19th century. An invasion that never happened! A ship that harbors the genesis of a race the Doctor has fought before and an old enemy thought gone. The reason why a Roman Legion disappeared in ancient Britain. A puddle that wants Bill and so much more.

Show "Doctor Who: The Fan Show."
