Genetically engineered dinosaurs run amok at a tycoon's island amusement park. Based on Michael Crichton's novel Review: sti;; a good movie to watch in year 2025 - good movie wont fail in test on time Review: great 3d conversion of a big monster film from the 90s. - Amazing conversion of a great movie. The depth is out of the screen. I could see no ghosting. The 3d however they did was brilliant. People walking out in front of the screen when they did in the original movie. This gave an extra element of depth and meaning to the plot. The dinosaurs look great. They only qualm and it was a minor qualm. The film didn't appear to be as clear as modern HD movies. I am not sure if this due to the age of the film. When I mean clear some images were not as sharp as I would have expected for an HD movie. This could be just me. But this was a very very very minor issue. The conversion is selling point to a film great. I would compare the conversion to the Wizard of Oz. I am not going to review the film as we know what happens and it is an oldish film.

Fun to watch with family
Liking all the memes from this film that we use day to day. Easy to watch with kids around during the day as there are some bits that can stress the little ones while watching like when the T-rex comes to get the children when they are in the jeep/ranger.

Good quality conversion
Viewed on 100" screen with Epson 6600 LCD projector. For film not originally shot in 3D, it is surprising how many shots lend themselves to the 3D experience - even Spielberg admits on the extras that he must have had one eye on a 3D film. The 3D works well, although its not super obvious - no waving stuff towards the camera. The image is crisp and the blu ray transfer appears well done (although there is one longish scene with Jeff Goldblum with a massive lens / light flare on the screen). Weirdly the extra detail does make the dinosaurs look a little less 'real', but not overly so. The film itself most people know. Looks a little dated in places, but well executed. The extras section is quite interesting as it deals with how the 3D was achieved (you do get the impression that a company has approached the studio / producers and sold them the idea though - not that that is bad, because its done well). How much involvement Spielberg had is questionable, but he turns up in the extras.

Great set for Jurassic fans!
The value here is fantastic! You get a sturdy case, a great steelbook and extra goodies as well, the Certificate and Art cards are standard, the film cell is a nice touch but the booklet is where you can tell that a lot of the detail went into. It's basically a "Greatest Hits" of all the well known making of content from the film plus some 30th anniversary artwork that's beautiful to look at. I can understand to distaste towards the front cover art but it doesn't really detract anything from the set and it's varied enough to be decent on it's own, plus it's nice to get some variant covers instead of simply getting the 93 poster over and over (tho they still included that option in the american set). Speaking of which version to choose I would recommend more this one. The steelbook is a great touch and the extra weight makes the set feel more premium. The discs are from previous releases but you're really getting this more for everything else that it comes with. It might not be the definitive Jurassic Park set but it's a nice 30th anniversary gift for loyal fans of the film, definetly recommend it.

One of the absolute best
A timeless classic. Spielberg at his absolute best. For me, easily one of the greatest movies of all time.

Blockbuster brilliance
Jurassic Park is more than dinosaurs on the loose, it's a cautionary tale wrapped in blockbuster brilliance. The best of them all.
