Brilliant Hack for Protecting Indoor TVs in an Outdoor TV Enclosures in Texas!
I always check Amazon reviews before buying, so I had to share the incredibly clever way we are using these DampRid Fragrance Free Hanging Moisture Absorbers.Instead of spending thousands of dollars on an expensive specialty "outdoor" television, we decided to buy a standard indoor 55" Hisense U8 TV and place it inside a heavy-duty, enclosed Shelter Storm hard case. However, dealing with the brutal Texas heat and crushing humidity meant that moisture buildup inside the sealed case was a major threat to the TV's electronics.To solve this, we hang one of these DampRid bags right inside the enclosure behind the TV. It works absolutely flawlessly. It aggressively pulls the heavy, humid moisture out of the air before it can damage our screen or components.The design is incredibly user-friendly because it features a clear lower section with a visible water fill line. This completely takes the guesswork out of the process—you know exactly when the bag is maxed out and ready to be tossed and swapped for a fresh one. Works but does not last 60 days
Worked well as product, however it only lasted 35 days for me. When it says 60 days. Quite frustrated how quickly needs to be replaced.

They work
2nd box. Works, I’m using them as a backup to my dehumidifier. I just hang one in the middle of the basement and it helps a lot with the damp smell we get during the summer. Easy to use and you can see exactly how much water it absorbed.
