Q: Is there any benefit to running with a 12v to 24v step up converter?

The lights work on a range of DC voltage. Just as bright at 12v as 24v. The wire size will need to be heaver for 12v, because the current draw will be higher.

Q: What are the bolt sizes mine came without any bolts?

Hi sir, the included switch is used to control the DRL mode and main light mode. We are not sure if the switch you purchased is the same as ours, so we suggest you use the switch with our matching wiring harness.

Q: I have a switchbox that just has positive and negative on it, no 3rd wire. can i wire these these lights to it and not have the drl function?

Hi Sir, If you don't want DRL mode, just want all the lights to turn on and off together. You can achieve the desired effect by cutting off the switches on our wiring harness and connecting them to the switches you currently have. The black wire is the negative pole, the blue and white wires are the control wire of the relay, and the red wire is the positive pole. We hope this can help you.
