I bought this as I use 2 computers for work and need to switch between them regularly. Each has it's own monitor, but the desk was cluttered with keyboards and a mouse for each, so I wanted to be able to use just 1 keyboard and 1 mouse. The switch arrived during a Microsoft teams meeting and I was able to set it up with no disruption to the meeting or either computer. It is plug and play and switches almost instantaneously with no issues. It is unobtrusive on the desk. I have to needed to plug it into the power supply so far. I haven't finalised it's position, so do not need to use the remote button, but have tested it and it works excellently. I can strongly recommend this if you need to switch keyboard and mouse.

I experience a lot of USB SuperSpeed resets when plugged in to a logitech brio with a usb 3.0 cable - these issues show up both when using the micro-usb power and without it (this could potentially be an issue with the cable I already had but it's unlikely). When switching to a 2.0 only cable I don't experience these resets, which are only noticeable as a lot of windows usb disconnect sounds. Otherwise the switching speed is good and the extension button is good.Internally the unit I got has a GenesysLogic USB3.1 Hub (idVendor=05e3, idProduct=0626)

Tried everything. Ended up chicking it. Pointless. PC keyboard and wired mouse works. Wired Mac Keyboard and Logitech MX mouse Dongle not working in any way.

I bought this so I could easily switch a keyboard and mouse between my desktop PC and laptop on the same desk. For most of the time it works as expected, but occasionally it randomly disconnects then reconnects for no apparent reason - which means the mouse and keyboard stop working for a few seconds.It does this on both PCs, which makes me think it's definitely the switch and not a problem with the computer.

It also remembers the last input selected, even after a power loss through disconnection.No external power is required for those typical devices but others may need it. Mine is connected to two computers, one running Windows 10 and one running Windows 11. There are no software or drivers to install, it just works out of the box. I'm glad I bought this one and not the UGREEN one everyone buys because that one is plastic and this one is extremely well made and solid metal. The two USB cables that connect to the computers are also solid and have a premium quality. VPFET look like they specialise in audio and video equipment.

This item did not work for me with windows 10 and Vista. Help was offered but I had a refund instead.

Je recherchais un switch USB car je n'en pouvais plus d'avoir à gérer plusieurs claviers et souris sur mon bureau. Il était impératif pour lui de posséder une télécommande filaire pour l'actionner à distance, afin de cacher le sandwich de câble s'accrochant à lui.Soit je ne trouvais que des modèles sans télécommande ou sans USB 3.0, ou soit des modèles chers avec des fonctionnalités ne m'intéressant pas forcément.C'était donc le seul.L'USB 3.0 est bien là, fonctionne bien et vite à condition de connecter le câble d'alimentation USB auxiliaire.J'écris cet avis 3 mois après l'avoir acheté, histoire de le tester un peu dans la durée, et je n'ai pas rencontré un seul problème. Je passe d'un PC à un autre (clavier/souris/tablette Wacom) facilement.Je recommande!

Ich betreibe den Umschalter hauptsächlich, um mein Elgato StreamDeck sowohl am privaten als auch am beruflichen Rechner nutzen zu können. Hier hatte ich anfangs mit Problemen gerechnet, dass die Umschaltung bzw. Re-Initialisierung des Geräts am jeweiligen Rechner nicht sauber funktionieren könnte.Zum Glück bewahrheitete sich das nicht - einfach den USB-Switch mit den beiden mitgelieferten USB-Kabeln an PC und Laptop angeschlossen, vorn das StreamDeck dran - läuft, Umschalten gar kein Problem.Mir war wichtig, dass es separate Anschlüsse für Strom und den externen Umschalt-Taster gibt (ist offenbar keine Selbstverständlichkeit), aber extra Strom brauche ich in meinem Fall gar nicht. Schade ist, dass der externe Umschalter keine Anzeige hat (so wie das Gehäuse), welcher Ausgang gerade aktiv ist, denn ich würde gern den Umschalt-Kasten hinter dem Tisch verschwinden lassen und nur den kleinen Taster vor mir haben. Das ist aber Jammern auf hohem Niveau und letztlich nur eine Kleinigkeit, dafür ziehe ich sicher keinen Stern ab.

Venía usando dos teclados, dos ratones, cambiando los cascos de un equipo a otro...En mi caso el monitor conmuta solo ya que no suelo tener ambos activos a la vez por lo que necesitaba que fuese solo USB y que no se viese.Este dispositivo cumple con todo ello. Anclado a la mesa por la parte inferior con cinta adhesiva de doble cara y conectado a ambos equipos y los periféricos. Y sobre la mesa el botón controlador para cambiar de uno a otro.Solo me falta una pequeña luz en el botón remoto.

La latencia del USB es muy buena, pero pierde la conexión a veces durante un par de segundos. A raíz de esto en momentos en los que la continuidad es necesaria (Videojuegos) es necesario conectar directamente al ordenador y no utilizar el switch.
