Q: How many come in a pack?

I don’t recall; purchased them a while ago.

Q: what is the inside diameter of the bulb/gourd part of the pin?

8 mm a size 11 knitting needle will go through it.

Q: Will these rust in humid environments?

They haven't for me. I use them constantly and they have stayed sharp and don't have a rough point - so no snagging.

Q: What kind of metal is used?

I'm not sure & they don't say. I assumed they are of brass, as over time they can darken a bit. I am allergic to nickel & they don't bother me -- but then I'm not wearing them.... I mainly use them to count stitches when knitting or when I need to add a care label to something I have made as a gift for someone. I also have some that are colored & a set of black ones - they seem to be painted/ enamel-coated.
