Review: Awesome unit - Where do i start with this thing? Its taken me so long to write a review as I've been busy working out all the things it does and basically being blown away by it! Setting up rigs/ scenes/ setlist etc is a breeze amd if you gig live it will save you a lot of time and trouble. It now has a drum machine too... I felt that was the only think lacking at the start and recent upgrades like NAM etc have been quite fantastic Only down side Is that its rather large. I have mine beside my boss rc600 looper and it makes it looks tiny in comparison. Its very intuitive to operate so dont be put off although do expect to get addicted to using it!

I don't have anywhere local to try one out so looked online. Prices were all pretty similar & with it being pretty new, used ones weren't available. I did however get one here, that someone had returned, with a great saving. I paid £326 & this is an absolute bargain. Having used it, the retail price is a bargain for what this little box of tricks can do. It's easy to use, sounds fantastic & the headrush cloud has lots of available amps, rigs & pedals. You can basically have any sound you want, with the tech of a pedal. A recent update came out, version 4.1 with more effect pedals & a better cloning tool for those who want their amp sound in a box. All in all I'm delighted with my purchase. It has every function I could possibly need, it's built like a tank & small enough to put in a gig bag. With every guitar sound you can dream of, it's versatile for any application. I'd happily pay full price for one & if this one got stolen, I'd buy another right away.

A: Hi, HeadRush support here! Both! MX5 is supplied with an auto-switching 100-240, 50-60Hz power supply and is suitable for operation in both the UK and USA. Please note, if purchased in the UK, a USA > UK plug adapter will be required for connectivity with a USA wall socket.

**Q: Can this be used with wireless/bluetooth headphones e.g. airpods for home practice?**
A: Hi, HeadRush support here! MX5 is not directly suitable for operation with wireless headphones and does not feature any inbuilt Bluetooth capabilities. With this in mind, radiofrequency headphones which feature their own transmitter and 6.35mm TRS receiver will be suitable.

**Q: What is the reason why I cannot use a 12 volt battery to make it portable?**
A: Hi, HeadRush support here! MX5 does not feature any inbuilt battery compartments to facilitate for a 12-volt battery. If you would like to use this product on the go, we recommend using a portable power station.

Had the predecessor the MX5... Loved it but this is leaps ahead. Fabulous rich sounds. Quite capable of realistic synth sounds. Wifi and Bluetooth, so you can update without a pc and play along to demos on your phone via the Bluetooth. Nice small footprint for those of you like me who want to stick it in your guitar gig bag and go. Excellent for recording. Much more than I can list here. Worth every penny.
