Ok folks, will NOT work; have an 8+ running IOS 11.1.2 and phone does NOT recognize these, sorry?? New IOS detects non-Apple parts or plug-in now?? Picked an Apple one up at Walmart for $9 which is less than half of Apple Store price??

One star is WAAAAYYYY too many stars for this POS. I'm O for 4 on these pieces of crap. To put it simply, they just don't work. Period. You plug them in; you may get beautiful sound quality from one, only to have it disconnect and not play anything two minutes later. And that's only IF you get any sound quality whatsoever. They're garbage plain and simple. Do not make the same mistake I made TWICE. Evidently I'm not very smart because it took me buying two of these to learn the hard way that these things are pure garbage.

Adding to the rest of the reviewers: these will invoke the error message about not being supported by Apple. Save your money and apply it to the more expensive one from Apple (annoying, I know).

Neither one worked. Tested on two iPhone 7 models with three different pairs of headphones.

Unfortunately these show up as unsupported devices.

The adapter doesn’t work. It come with two but neither of them work! I will be sending them back but I am not happy about this. It worked for a few minutes but then it stopped working. My iPhone 8 says that “this product is not supported by Apple” and it stops working. Do NOT buy this adapter!

I wish I could give this a smaller rating!! This product does not work with my iphone. Waste of money. It will connect for about two minutes and then the message that says the product is not supported appears on your phone and it doesn't connect to your headphones any longer. Do not recommend wish I had realized it doesn't work earlier and sent it back.
