Just the thing for early learners
I bought this product for my granddaughter for Christmas and who has just started school. It is a great product for those who are just learning to read. It can be used by the child alone or with a parent. My granddaughter finds it easy to use and there is a large choice of different books to use as the child progresses with their reading. I was very pleased with this product and will definitely buy more in the future. Not having had the product that long I cannot specify how long the battery the pen requires will last but other that that the product lived up to my expectations.

Leapfrog Tag Learn to read books
My daughter who is 4 years old really enjoys learning with the tag books and they help her lot in learning to prenounce her letters and get the sounds correct. She also enjoys having a go at the puzzles in the books and usually gets the answers correct. I would definately recommend these books for all children who are learning to read and write.

beware no tag
purchased this as a gift for grandson and had it delivered direct. Most disappointed to be told that the 'tag' is not included, although it is shown on the box! I have noticed that the lack of a tag is inferred in the very small print in the product description. Most misleading!Buyer beware, extra 'bits' are required to make this work.I assume that the tag is not included as the same tag works for a number of these items!

My son loves these
Ive actually had to hide these from my son because he will sit in his bed and read all night. They are great, he will sit and play with them for hours, great when I have a couple of jobs to do!

another good product from leapfrog
we have both sets of the long vowels and short vowel books. Both my son (now nearly 7) and my daughter 4 have used these. They have been handed to my youngest when my son outgrew them this year. Out of the two my daughter has used them most, she listens to them using the tag pen and also we read them together like a normal reading book. It has amazed me because she can recite pages just by looking at the page. I am not sure whether using the tag pen has actually helped her learn how to read although having words like 'the' highlighted in a different colour has certainly helped. She adores these and also plays the activities at the back of the book. Start with the short vowels for earlier readers then move to the long vowels.

Daughter loves it
These books are a real boon, they have helped my daughter to achieve a reading level two years above her peers. The interactivity of the Leap Reader has encouraged her to not only use, but re-use these books over and over again. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A great addition to our Leapreader library.
This series of simple books work brilliantly with the Leapfrog Leapreader Pen. As well as the short stories there are a few fun spelling games at the back of each book that my 4year old daughter loves. Only slight irritation is that the books don't seem to work with the "Queen's English" companion audio and we've ended up having to use the annoying "American English" audio.
