Konig Andy 20W Unearthly Resonator Robot/Alien Computer/High Power Active MP3 Speaker - Black

Browsing for some USB powered speakers the other day, I came across Andy, the design looked funky enough to put it in my basket without much of a second thought, quirky, fun, modern, I couldn't wait for PRIME to deliver.Andy arrived next day in a regulation plastic box, or perhaps some sort of square intergalactic escape pod, with stickers and short USB and 3.5" jack cables, plugged it in and he lit up precharged, nice! Andy looked fantastic sitting on a black glass shelf. Backing away before the 20watt blast of alien sourced sound erupted, I readied myself. Unfortunately, Andy sounded like any other cheap speaker, tinny and undefined and sadly, Earth was safe for now.I'd expected better from Konig/KNG, with the girth of the robot body acting as some sort of passive subwoofer this could have been a really great little accessory, it didn't seem to, tweaking with an equaliser brought a bit more depth, but sadly, it's a £5 portable speaker in a really nice shell. OK for listening to podcasts and things like that, and an improvement over your PC or iPad speakers, but anything musically challenging ends up in a muddle.Perhaps Andrew or Andros, who both tote twin speakers offer a little more in the way of full frequency sound?Case Design - 5 Stars. Sound Quality - 2 Stars.Looks absolutely great but perhaps best suited to backup duties.

Quality sound from a small appliance. Can be taken while travelling anywhere and also abroad.Very useful piece of kit.

I bought this today for my daughter an I'm totally surprised with the sound that comes out of it. It's really cute and lights up too. It's a bargain buy !
