Lucid narration and a good fantasy YA novel
Indeed a riveting young adult (YA) fantasy novel. The scaffold of the plot is build around hate vs. love…it can be gauged by its title as well. The novel features Martia as a protagonist. However, some auxiliary characters such as Minver, Acastius, Arigue, and Prince are crucial to the overall development of the story. They from time to time nudge the story towards action, adventure, and sub climaxes.Under the King Zarek of Absyleous people aren’t happy. In the kingdom are many villages. Some are neutral, some are with the king, while eleven villages including the Promapple village are rebels. At any cost they want to eliminate the king. They loathe royal people, palaces and their lifestyle so much so that their hearts brim with hatred against them. The middle pages of the novel are filled with villagers and Martia’s endeavors to break through in the kingdom to overthrow the royals. However, she is not alone; aspirations and past pains of other characters too affect everything. The novel is fast-paced with an incredibly dose of action and adventure. In between are thrown many unexpected twists and turns. The ending of the novel is for sure going to stun readers. But before it ends, the novel asks a powerful question – can love stop hatred and unwanted killing of innocents?Absolutely with kingdoms and characters the book is well placed, highly readable. The aspect of deeper love is subtly exposed. The novel takes time to develop and understand its characters. Changes of events and state of heart happen gradually, but worth the time and efforts. Written in simple language, it is one of the YA fantasy novels that don’t complicate anything. It offers huge entertainment with simplicity and lucid narration.

Enjoyable ride
To Make the World Beautiful is an intense tale of survival, politics, and power play that violently traps a lethal assassin, Martia, whose cruelty has no bounds, and a Prince, who irrespective of how brutal the circumstances are, never loses his humanity. This story showcases the power of love and the extent to which one would go for their beloved. The story opens with Martia trapped in the land of Promapple which is all about bloodbaths, power struggles, and revenge. She is trained to be a lethal assassin and is grown up to fit the role of a seasoned warrior. However, all the violent thoughts in her head go for a toss after she bumps into the prince, the prince who challenges her and changes her life for the good. The book is all about their journey and that of victory of love over hatred. This story is an apt example of an enemies-to-lovers trope and sheds light on the emotional understanding and maturity of its characters. The fast-paced narrative and lucid language complemented the world-building. And while I did like the sketch of Martia's character, I found that of Prince's a bit inadequate for my liking. However, the equation between Martia and Prince was engaging to read.I liked the set-up of the novel which seemed fresh and imaginative.Besides, the end was a mix of dramatic and climactic events that turned out to be a pleasant treat. This book is a one-time read for those who enjoy charming narratives and a blend of romance and action.

FANTASY MEETS ROMANCE
Romance and fantasy are two themes that when intertwine they open the doors of possiblities, the promises of 'I can bring the whole world down for you' or 'I can collect moons and stars for you' can also become real. These stories push the horizon and make the romance intense and so empowering. That's what made the book To Make The World Beautiful For You a beautiful read for me. I am not someone who has read Fantasy in reality much, but the writing of Kalyani Singh will make you hooked on for sure. For someone who is a beginner in the genre, the writing was lucid enough to be involved in the storyline as a reader. The story is about an assassin, Martia and the Prince, a compassionate human, and how they meet and go forward. Martia is trained with the burden of hope of hundreds of the people of her clan to dethrone the ruling king, and for that, Martia has to be ruthless and brutal and do everything possible. On the other hand we have our Prince who is as calm as a possible even when the world puts him in situations that would break apart the toughest of souls. The two character cross their path during their course of achieving their goal, and fall for each other. This spark embarks the beginning of an adventours and fantasy tale of survival, love, politics, and power play. This story is highly plot driven and not much time is given to explore the character depth. However the grey shade of characters is aptly put out by the author making them feel more real. Another point worth mentioning is how the author paints the scenes with her words. The intricate description in building of the scenarios, specially the geographic part of the book, is commendable. Not once did I feel disconnected from the book because of it. Which I often do when I try fantasy. The ending really worked it's magic. If you're someone who is a beginner to this genre, do definitely pick this book up. Or maybe pick it up because of its beautiful title.
