It can also calculate areas (& volumes I think but I haven’t needed that function). It’s easier to use than a tape measure and I think you get more precise measurements. You can choose the units for measurements depending on what you need. It’s got a built-in spirit level to help you to get accurate measurements too. I think the more one used it, the more confident you’d get. I’m a female OAP and I can manage it. **Q: Would this work in a bowls match, measure from mat to jack** A: The short answer is yes, Willie. Obviously, the mat reference point would need to be precisely used each time and the marker given sole use of the device.
