I didn’t realize how much my old pillow was betraying me until this glorious cloud of customizable comfort entered my life. The Coop Home Goods Original Cut-Out Pillow is basically the therapist my neck has been begging for. First off, the adjustable fill? Genius. I felt like a sleep scientist removing and adding foam until I hit that “just right” level—Goldilocks would be proud. The cut-out design is perfect for side sleeping, and my shoulder finally has a place to exist without filing a complaint. No more waking up feeling like I lost a wrestling match in my sleep. The medium-firm support is spot-on. It’s supportive without feeling like a brick, and soft without collapsing into a sad pancake. Also, it somehow stays cool, which is great because I run hotter than a July afternoon in Arkansas. Bonus points for being CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold certified—so I can sleep easy knowing I’m not inhaling anything weird while I drool on it (let’s be honest, it happens). After just a few nights, I noticed less neck stiffness and fewer middle-of-the-night wakeups. Now I actually look forward to going to bed… which is something my younger self would never believe. If your pillow is ruining your life in small, annoying ways—do yourself a favor and upgrade. Your neck will thank you. Your sleep will improve. And you might even stop making that old-man groaning sound every time you get out of bed. 5 stars. Would nap again immediately.

While the pillow looks anemic when it first comes out of its packaging, it puffs/firms up beautifully after time in the dryer. I haven't had any odor issues. I'm mostly a side sleeper and at first I thought there wasn't enough of the extra fill, so I put it all in. I've ended up needing to take at least half back out to keep my head at the correct angle. While this can fit in a standard pillow case, it just barely fits and keeps coming out - at least at my fill level. Queen pillow cases are much better. This is so much more comfortable than any of my previous pillows. I don't need to stack multiple pillows to get the right support. I'm no longer waking up with neck or shoulder or arm pain. I'm recommending it to pretty much everyone and I've purchased a second pillow to keep at my parents for when I visit!

I was skeptical of spending this much money on a pillow, but so far I'm glad I did. It's very comfortable, and the shape does seem to help. I injured my neck/shoulder years ago, and I would wake up 1-2x per week heading slept wrong making my neck and shoulder stiff and painful in the morning. This pillow has so far prevented that. This pillow has also significantly reduced my snoring, according to both my Samsung watch and my wife. I'm a side sleeper. This pillow can be as firm or soft as you want since you can add or remove filling. It comes with a bag of extra filling just for that. I wouldn't say its cooling, but it certainly isnt too warm either. And I'm someone who sleeps hot. All in all, I'd buy it again.

This pillow has saved my neck! After months of a neck ache, multiple massages and neck exercises it finally occurred to me it could be my pillow. I looked around online and settled on this one. I received it the same day. Did the dryer fluff as recommended and used it that night. My neck felt better the next morning. I still had the tightness in my shoulder blade which I believe was causing the pain. Today after one week I have no pain at all. It comes with a small bag of extra stuffing which looks rather small but surprisingly wasn’t. I tried to add some thinking I needed it, but after testing decided to remove it . I got the Queen U shaped one and like I can rest my arm on it since I’m mainly a side sleeper. It also feels good when I sleep on my back since the sides cuddle my neck. I couldn’t be happier with this pillow and highly recommend it

Wonderful pillow! I have had a cut-out foam pillow for several years and it was time to replace it. This one is much more comfortable, right out of the box! Had my husband try it for a nap and then we ordered one for him too. He is in love with it as well. [Please consider making a smaller travel size (just a rectangle would be great).] Thank you!!

Great pillow

I have at least a dozen pillows acquired over a few years in my quest for one that provides the right amount of support, and height, for my needs. I’m a side sleeper and was waking up every morning with my neck in pain. One of my earlier pillows was the Coop regular pillow but I ended up sleeping on the bottom edge of it, perhaps because my neck is short. This pillow. with its cutout, meets nearly all of my needs. I use a CPAP machine and that is still problematic but I’ve tried the special pillows for CPAP users and they were too firm or too high or too low so I am very happy just to have the right support and comfort.

I have been dealing with neck pain on waking up for about a month. I ordered it yesterday and today is the first day I woke up with no neck pain. Thank you COOP

Excellent for side and stomach sleepers. Can’t comment for back sleepers as I don’t sleep that way but I would think it would be the same. Extra stuffing provided if you want to add more firmness. Use the dryer to fluff the pillow when you get it, as per the instructions. Loved it so much also gave one as a Christmas gift and the recipient is more than pleased with it. Excellent night’s sleep. Highly recommend.
