Lakeland Banana Keep Fresh Drawstring Storage Bag 28cm x 37cm

I find it a little bit small. I struggle to close it sometimes. But it really does work. I can keep bananas for well over 1 week and they are still fresh. So it saves throwing away food.

I never believed this would work but it does! Our veg and fruit box lasts much long with the Lakeland storage bags. The banana one goes in the fridge easily. The colour on the outside of the banana is slightly different but the inside remains fresh for so much longer. Used to throw bananas away as they ripened too quickly; don’t anymore!

It probably works quite well, but with no instructions as to whether it should be kept in or out of the fridge. The bag itself in my opinions is far too big

As a family, we eat a lot of bananas, and since the 1st Lockdown, I have only been shopping once a week, rather than topping up mid week, which meant that I was buying 3 packs of bananas at a time. This of course resulted in towards the end of the week, a few over ripe bananas, which much to my kids delight ended up in the famous banana bread.I bought this keep fresh banana bag in the hope that we would have fresher bananas for longer, and I am very happy to report that this actually does work!It is brilliant! I can just about fit two bunches of bananas inside, and as long as the draw string is pulled tight, and it is kept in the fridge, it's like some sort of time stopping sorcery goes on in that yellow bag because the bananas come out as a fresh as a daisy! Yay.On occasion we have had the banana skin discolour, but this doesn't effect the banana inside or taste of the bananas. I would recommend this bag, it's a great product.

The bananas have kept well in this bag, and, to me, they taste better. The bag is in the fruit drawer in the fridge. Don’t be put off by the colour of the skins when you take them out the bag, they are still fine.

My parents had a banana bag and it keeps their bananas nice and fresh in the fridge so I thought I'd give this product a go. It's awful! I left bananas in the bag for two days after buying them and they reacted like they normally would in a fridge, dark skin and like mush inside. The bag hasn't affected the length of time the banana keeps ripe. I was expecting the banana to have a dark skin but still be good inside as the leaflet that comes with the product states but it didn't. Would not recommend to anyone unfortunately!

I was a bit sceptical that this gadget would work. But seeing as though half of every bunch of our bananas end up on the compost heap. We don’t like them when they go sweet and get black on. My house is just too warm for them to keep in the kitchen or living room fruit bowl. Anyway thought I’d try this and it’s absolutely amazing. They stay just as they were for a week at least (they’ve been eaten by the end of the week so could be longer). Highly recommend this product. Value for money too.

Genial! Wir waren wirklich skeptisch, aber es funktioniert wirklich. Bisher wurden Bananen bei uns schnell braun und unansehnlich, jetzt halten sie sich wirklich wochenlang (!) frisch, gelb und ohne Stellen. Wieso, habe ich noch immer nicht kapiert. Aber egal, würde ich immer wieder kaufen.

Funktioniert gut aber der Innenbeutel verschiebt sich immer sehr leicht.

Der Bananenbeutel ist jetzt seit einigen Wochen im Einsatz. Allerdings sind wir bis heute nicht 100 % überzeugt. Die Bananen behalten ihre Festigkeit, werden aber innerhalb von 1 Woche außen graubraun. Andere, draußen gelagerte Bananen, wurden innen etwas weicher, blieben aber in der selber Zeit gelber. Es ist also eher eine Geschmacksfrage. 2 Wochen in dem Beutel sind grenzwertig, dann fangen auch diese Bananen an, von innen matschig zu werden.

Die ersten Wochen scheint die isolierende Funktion des Beutels gegeben zu sein - zumindest werden die Bananen nicht mehr schwarz - doch die Luftpolsterfolie im Inneren des Beutels ist nicht fixiert und verrutscht ständig und lässt sich auch nicht ohne Weiteres wieder in die richtige Position bringen - insgesamt sehr frustrierend und in Anbetracht der doch sehr einfachen Materialien in meinen Augen das Geld nicht wert. Keine Empfehlung.

Schon nach wenigen Tagen breiten sich Stockflecken innen aus. Da man Feuchtigkeit im Innern nicht verhindern kann und das Innenleben aus Luftpolsterfolie besteht, findet kaum ein Luftaustausch statt.
