I had my original Lamy 4 2000 stolen at work and was debating whether to spend as much on a new 4 colour pen.I came across this tri-colour substitute and was not disappointed!Excellent quality (as you would expect from Lamy) and the "tilt" mechanism is a genius even better than the 2000!Very good balance in the hand, with a good grip section.Looks much more attractive to clients than a BIC!!!My only complaint is the pen only has 3 colours...I always use 4!Otherwise, this pen for the money is excellent.

I wasn't happy with my LAMY Ballpoint pen because I could only get 2 of the 3 colours to work. My biggest gripe was that there were no instructions for how to get them to work, it was pure guesswork that I finally got more than one to drop into place. However, Jacky from the company's Customer Services got in touch and said she will pass on my message to the company and also explained how to get each of the 3 colours to drop into place. What a lovely, helpful person Jacky is - thank you. It really is amazingly easy - if you know what to do and now that I do, I love my multi-coloured pen - it writes so smoothly, too.

The colours come out of their own accord. It's poorly made and I've been caught out with three Lamy products. One arrived broken. The second expensive one broke within 6 months and neither Amazon nor the seller would honour the warranty. The third is above Buyer beware with Lamy products and Amazon

All I want in a multifunctional pen!

As other reviewers pointed out the packaging is letting down the whole product experience. The pen alone is vert good quality. My reservations: not always producing smooth line (needs a ' break-in") which is crucial when you use it for signatures mainly. other gripe is the lottery when selecting colour - sometimes it is temprimental even if I'm selecting the red/blue/black correctly.

I love my Lamy duo. The previous one I had for many years was lost by my wife and I was very happy to find this one through Dr. Pen.It arrived very promptly and is perfect. Interesting that the black refill ran out quite quickly (I'm used to it lasting for a long time), but I had a spare so I'm back in business.

Comfortable, even if the grip rings cut into the metal seem a bit sharp sometimes - but as I do 98% of work on a computer this doesn't bother me. Love the twist one way - twist other way action, rather than the gravity feed my Parker had. I only wish it had an eraser somewhere, then it would be perfect. I have no need for four different colours and a smartphone stylus.

I'm a lover of LAMY products as it just says quality and I have always found them innovative yet extremely well made. I bought this for a friend and its always great watching peoples reaction to the cleverness of this item. especially when you turn one way you get a ball point pen and accidentally twist it the other you get a Mechanical Pencil. 'Huh? wow...really?...that's amazing...how do they fit every thing in there?'And then i tell them that LAMY actually make a 3 in 1 with a fine liner and its the same size...haha. It's just that amazing. Its the only pen you need in your brief case pocket etc.A feel good product with space saving niceness and definitely a pleasure to use.
