Works well with no problems
I use this switch to choose between my computer speakers and my headphones. My computer has only one audio output. This makes it simple to switch between the two. If you're using it in the way I do, please note that you need a cable to go from your audio output to the switch, and then you can use your existing cables for your headphones and your speakers to plug into the switch. Switch does not come with cables.

Great switcher
Well worth the money. Very compact and well-made.

Simple, and it works
I needed to choose between two different audio inputs and two different outputs without changing wires or using a complex patch bay arrangement. Two of these did the job perfectly. They are compact and the switches seem solid. Only suggestion for improvement is for it to come with a small piece of Velcro for attaching with flexibility.

Ground hum on powered speakers
If you use this to switch output to powered speakers, there is a ground loop hum. I even tried using a ground loop hum eliminator but that didn't work. It will probably be fine if switching inputs or switching output to unpowered speakers. Unit functions properly and appears to be of solid construction.

NO NOISE OR STATIC!!!
I've experienced static and popping when trying to split a single PC sound system between 2 pc's. I've also read about using a ground loop isolator to help with the problem so I ordered two of those with this order......I DIDN'T need them. It works perfect, appears to be well contructed and a nice compact size but fairly heavy weight. It's "heavy" enough to stay put on my desk without velcro to hold it in place. At this point on the first day of use, highly recommended!I will update this review if it tanks down the road.

Cheap Junk, 6 months and doesn't work.
Item did the job until it didn't, cheap build quality. A simple switch like this should last for quite a long time, not 6 months.

poorly soldered connections
Right away I detected some intermittency in stereo sound. Occasionally one speaker or the other (L, R) would have no or little sound. This gradually got worse and worse. I found tapping it against something would usually fix it temporarily. Finally now after 18 months it has gotten so bad it does not work with tapping or anything else, so I finally took it apart and resoldered it. There are no wires inside. It is a solid circuit board with the jacks and switched directly into the board. I noticed the connection from the board to the long red main switch had some with solder the wicked up the terminal a little from the board and others that seemed to barely have any solder. I resoldered the ones that looked shy and now it works great. BTW, it was very easy to take apart and put back together with 4 tiny cross-point screws.
