Mr Clean Erase and Renew Magic Eraser, Original, 2 Count (Pack of 3)

I never write reviews on amazon but I just had to share my success with this product. When I was travelling in Europe over the summer I treated myself to a Louis Vuitton purse, very expensive and unfortunately after a month of travelling on subways and trains in Budapest and Prague the beautiful leather handles and sides got covered in all manner of grime and dirt. I was obviously very disappointed and didn't want to pay oodles of money to get it fixed by Louis Vuitton headquarters, so I took a chance and read online that Mr. Clean magic erasers worked well on the bags. I was admittedly rather skeptical at first, as my bag was quite dirty and the stains had been on there for over a month, but I decided to try it out. And wow am I glad that I did, these little inexpensive guys did the trick, my leather looks bright and clean and as good as new, and I am now officially swearing by the magic eraser! I havent tried them out on sinks and counters, but believe me, if it could get all the grime off my leather bag, it can probably do an amazing job on household surfaces. Great product!

For folks who have not seen or used this before, it's like soft sponge and works similarly, that is you wet the eraser and scrub against the spots you want to clean. It works very nicely on painted surface and removes the majority of the scuff marks. I'm not sure how it works, but once the spot is cleaned you can see the Eraser catches the color of the paint, but not too much that you'd worry whether the paint would be scratched off. I did notice though, certain tough/old scuff marks won't come off despite how many times I tried. The Eraser works magic with Crayon marks! We have a plastic kids table full of Crayon marks that no amount of Windex or brushing was able to recover. The Eraser did its job effortlessly. - I almost asked my kids to apply the Crayon again so that I can clean it. I don't know how it achieved that and wonder if it has similar effect on any other tough marks. - Anyone who finds out, please share! The reason I dropped one star is the durability of the product. I turned my first piece of the Eraser into a rag in minutes, after hard scrubbing and squeezing. I then realized a gentle and smooth circular motion would achieve good results without too much damage to the Eraser. That being said, there are touch marks tempting for more violent action and even with care, the Erasers don't last that well.

Or your kid, or a visitor, leans up with a dirty hand against a freshly painted wall. Black handprint. Repaint time? Not if you have a few of these under the sink. These non-toxic, sponge-like cleaning blocks are mildly abrasive. Wet them and lightly rub on latex paint. The paint's top layer liquifies and comes off - and stains come off with it, their particles lodging into the holes in the sponge. Then the paint dries and it looks brand new. Yet to find a small scuff or stain that this eraser can't get off a painted surface. Removes markers, too. I don't like having spotty walls. That's why I love the Magic Eraser. Try it - you'll think it's magic, too.
