Bought for present but lovely book loads of different bags

This is an excellent book. I appreciated the introductory chapters which explain all about bag-making tools and materials such as interfacing, strap making, fastenings etc in detail. And do you know what? I loved the way these chapters were written, like Debbie was actually sitting next to me and chatting me through the materials and techniques. You can't often say that about a craft book! The bags are all lovely. Quite a lot of embellishment is going on, but if that's not your thing you can make each bag without the extra decoration - every bag has a great basic shape and design. I will enjoy dipping into this book for years to come for inspiration.

This book has good tips and instructions. Even for a beginner. Things like zips and pockets, which look baffling are well explained. Thank you.

Lovely book with great styles to inspire you. Patterns are double sided so you have to make copies rather than just cut them out. Good detailed info and tips to help you make something really beautiful.
