Good product.
I bought one of these to replace a cheap nasty Draper product which started to fall apart the first time I used it. This is a far better tool and will dig even in quite hard ground. It feels well made, has no sharp edges on the handle and generally does what you would expect. Well worth the extra money. I wasted my money buying the cheap one.

Feels solid
As a teen I'd used a cheap folding spade for Scout camps, and it always rattled and at one point the threads just broke. This however is built like a tank, the central tube is thick and heavy duty aluminium and the twist tightening feels solid and smooth. It doesn't rattle or wobble at all when folded out and can be angled either for spade work or as a pickaxe.

Solid build and light weight
This is not the cheapest folding shovel but for me is the best that I used until now, i had few cheap full metal ones but all off them failed quite easily, this Fiskars is light weight but very solid build , I recommend it in any situations.

Replaced A Cheaper Version
I bought a cheap one couple of years ago (insert well-known national breakdown company name here), but which looks IDENTICAL to this. Had never used it in anger, but then I mounted it onto my Ural sidecar outfit (using a couple of Quick-Fist mounts), if only because it looks cool. Then I read the reviews! So I went hunting for something better (read as, higher price). And I found this which as I say is identical in casual appearance, however looking closer the pivot bolts look better and thicker, also the blade seems to be thicker - I didn't use a micrometer, just went by feel with finger and thumb - but it is noticeably thicker in direct comparison. (A destructive test would be to try cutting them to compare hardness, but I haven't done that.) The centre shaft - which is inside the plastic sleeve part with the locking screw collar - is very thick walled tubing (with flattened ends at the pivots), or it might even be extruded alloy, but that's OK. (The other looked like thin mild steel.) The pouch has a hanging loop, and a belt/strap loop.
