These things are a great hackNot only do I use them on our pool filter but on our laundry discharge before it goes into our utility sink. With three dogs, it collects all the hair that’s discharged from the laundry and helps avoid any type of clog in the line. I’ve been using these for years and they work great. Whether it’s the laundry or on the pool, you just have to make sure that you monitor them and change them out before they get too loaded up. They work excellent and are much cheaper than using nylons.

I bought these pool filter socks to help keep leaves, bugs, and pollen from clogging up my main pool filter—and they’ve definitely helped. If you have a pool or a shop vac, you need these. They work great as a liner for the pool skimmer to make cleaning it much easier. Just pick up the filer out of the skimmer and throw it away. Stretch a new one over the basket and your ready to go. Filters out a bunch of the little stuff that just clogs the pool filter. This keeps the filter cleaner and more efficient. Have a shop vac? Stretch this over the pleated filter and save yourself a bunch of time trying to clean the expensive pleated filter by catching many of the particles that clog it up. It kind of acts like a double filter and is much easier to slip off and shake or blow it clean. It also makes the pleated filter easier to clean too. Yeah it's still a nasty job but this makes it quicker and easier. The filters are cheap and you can find other uses for them too. Handy to have around when you need something like them.

Opened the package today and started using these pool socks. I don't have a pool... why did I buy Pool Filter Socks? I use these on my Shop Vac Filter. Easy clean up and disposal. Place the Sock over the regular filter and when you need to clean the filter pull off the sock and throw it away. It's not 100% but it helps keep the expensive filter usable longer. I'll make that trade any day!! No doubt that these will work just fine in a pool filter. Good Quality for the job. Maybe someday I'll get a pool??? Enjoy. Peace

I use these as a screen for my shop vac filter. They work well, making it simpler to clean the filter. You only have to take the filter off every few times. With this, you pull this sock off, hose it down, and put it back on. To get the photo, I had to very gingerly lift off the vacuum head with the filter. Because with this sock on there, debris easily falls off. You can actually just bang on the side of your shop vac when it's off, and some of the debris falls off inside. A 30-pack is a lifetime supply; I'll lose them before I use them all.

These work great, and are a great price for the amount you get. I had a pool worker recommend them to help prevent extra gunk from going into your pump and filter. I have found that they do a great job keeping pollen and poplar seeds out of my pool, as well as helping filter out algae. I highly recommend them!

They are great and can be cleaned and reused

These will keep so much stuff from reaching your pool filter; it's amazing to see the amount of small debris, dust, insects and pollen it picks up, and that would've otherwise gone through the basket and clog up your filter... I went from a weekly backwash (sometimes twice a week during pollen season as the pressure would creep up quickly), to every other week, sometimes 3 or even 4 weeks apart... During heavy pollen season (we have a lot of pines in the area and come June, everything outside turns bright yellow), you can simply take the skimmer basket out every other day, flip it over so the sock is hanging, hose off the gunk and put it right back in, and you filter pressure won't move at all! Great water savers!
