Jadunama: Javed Akhtar's Journey (English)

the jaadunama book has good content, good photographs and book cost is also right in connection with overall book but one thing is disturbing us the book's heavy weight. we can't carry the book here and there at our convenient reading place. so I am praying the concerned authorities to make it some small and light weight it may be good to fulfill our reading desire as per our wish. and one thing more i want to say that there is some repetition of pages which not should be.

This is an exceptional book that provides a rare glimpse into the life and times of one of India's most accomplished and celebrated writers. The book is a must-read for anyone interested in Indian cinema, culture, and society. We travel through ages with books, and we don't know why people are really reluctant to spend money on books and complain about its price. It is totally worth it and is a book that can be passed on to generations.

This book is a padded con. Very poor image quality of printed pages. Padded with film posters an four line opinions of celebrities on Javed Sahib occupying a full page.Being an ardent admirer of Javed Sahib I bought the book so that I do not miss out on anything written on him. But it is quite a let down otherwise.

It is true that the quality of the book justifies its price, as JADUNAMA: Javed Akhtar's Journey is a well-written and insightful account of Javed Akhtar's life and legacy. The author and translator have put a lot of effort into crafting a compelling narrative, and the book is sure to be of interest to anyone who is a fan of Indian cinema and culture.

Mr Javed Akhtar is one of my Gods . I use " Gods" metaphorically . I am as much an atheist as he is . He is a man whose life is so amazing that if this book were fiction I would have stopped after 10 pages ! From living in a cave & depending on his friends for food to becoming one of the greatest ever poets & the best dialogue writer in Hindi cinema - his achievements are almost supernatural ! His wit & rationality are the need of the hour in a world drowning in mediocrity & foolishness . He is an international treasure . This coffee table book cannot do justice to such a Titan . He should have had at least 100 books written on his life & at least 10 web series . Reed Hastings & Walter Isaacson - are you listening ? Ending with words from one of his fave poets - Ye aijaz hai husn-e-aawaargi ka, Jahan bhi gaye daastaan chor aaye

It's sad to see such negativity for such a wonderful book. the production quality is excellent. And what do you expect a coffee-table book to be? Such people would easily spend thousands on movies and popcorn and cold drinks, or clothes they wear only once, but to buy a book they want to see budgets.

JADUNAMA: Javed Akhtar's Journey is an engaging and insightful account of the life and work of one of India's greatest poets and screenwriters. Mandloi's writing and Jalil's translation make it a must-read for anyone interested in Indian cinema and culture.

Javed Saab is a man with voice of reason.The Price of this compendium is extraordinarily high. I bought one Since Javed Ji is a unique personality, but am disappointed that this book will not reach the masses on account of the wrong pricing. Surely Javed ji does not need money from this book
