Has held up well for 3 years. Very satisfied.
I have just reinstalled this rain gauge for this year's summer season, realizing this will be the third summer. Some observations: the black lettering is still clear, crisp and easy to read. The screws that came with got funky and rusty and I've relaced them with some non-rusting brass ones that I had; should have done this immediately. By the end of the season some crud developed inside it. It was easy to soak in hot, soapy water then scrub out with a bottle brush and it came out like new. The little red "floater" that shows the water level still works, but has faded to white. Not a problem - I can easily see it from across the deck. For sure my rain gauge of choice.

Excellent, but in tenths of inches
This is a really elegant and fun little rain gauge. Simple to install, easy to read, and a nice departure from the tube-shaped gauges. An excellent value. My only, very small, criticism is that the hash marks show tenths of inches, and not the more typical eighths or 16ths.

A good value
I bought one of these in 2022. It functioned well for 3 years then cracked when I failed to empty it during a freezing rain. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it isn't crack resistant (like nearly all rain gauges). It is, however VERY handy, easy to read, and easy to empty. It doesn't break easily like the glass one. I'm purchasing again.

Best ever
This is the best “analog” rain gauge I’ve ever had. And it’s my second one (the 5-year old predecessor broken by a ball). I can read the amount of rain from my living room.

It is not freeze proof.
This is a good rain gauge but don't buy it for long time use. it is not freeze proof. After few freezes, it cracks and no good anymore. I bought it twice; will not buy it again.

Love this rain gauge
This is the best rain gauge we have had so far. Easy to install, easy to read and love that red plastic marker. You do have to be careful not to lose it when you empty the container. Would definitely recommend.
