Non-Slip Rowing Machine Seat Pad (Tailored for Concept 2) by Hornet Watersports

Can confirm it does not slip, not padded enough for half marathon + rows but good enough for general use if you find your erg is hammering your backside...

I was nearly put off buying this cushion due to some reviewers saying it made no difference for them. But I was finding anything longer than 10 to 15 minutes on the hard seat of the Concept 2 very uncomfortable and it was impacting my desire to use the machine. So I took a chance, figuring that we are all built differently and maybe I would be one of the lucky ones and would get some relief. Well, it turned out that my luck was in and I can now row for extended sessions without too much pain creeping in. Its not quite like sitting in a comfy chair but comfortable enough so that It doesn't force me to stop. I like the fact that it's fairly thin and so using the machine feels natural. I once tried a much thicker cushion and that didn't feel right at all. Also it doesn't move around in use which I feel is extremely important. Overall I am very happy that I bought this cushion as it has made my rowing sessions much more endurable and productive.

Was not impressed by this when it first arrived - there are no straps or tags to fasten it. But it doesn't need any - the material naturally adheres to the Concept seat, but not to the user. I used it for 30 minutes this morning - it was extremely comfortable (though it adds very little bulk) and it did not budge. After years of feeling the bones of my backside grinding on the hard Concept seat with every stroke, it was a revelation.

Perfect for my Concept 2 rowing machine. The Concept seat is quite firm and becomes uncomfortable after a while, especially if your 'personal' padding isn't great :-) . This seat pad is just thick enough to improve comfort and is totally non slip.

This works exactly as described in ads. I got the XL version for my Concept 2 Dynamic and it fits. However it's been two weeks but the stinky smell still is not reducing. It's like a bad leather or bad glue smell and I can pick it up within two meters distance. I tried putting it next to the window and kept the window open, yet it doesn't help.

Perfect amount of padding

As a regular rower of 5k+ per day I went large, could still do with a bit more padding, but is better that the normal seat, and really is non-slip which you need on the 2k or less sprints.

hab die große Matte bestellt. passt perfekt auf den Sitz des Concept2 (minimal größer als der Sitz). Komfort auch bei längeren Einheiten um Welten besser!, nicht zu dick/hoch und nicht zu weich) auch die rutschhemmenden Silikonstreifen leisten perfekte Arbeit. Man rutscht bzw. verrutscht nicht mehr. bin sehr zufrieden! Preis Leistung Verarbeitung sind m.M.n. sehr gut! trainiere nicht mehr ohne diesem Polster!

This did the work with my sunny fitness rowin gf machine though not compatible with it but sizes and dimension were quite close and does the work and keep me from sliding plus the puffy pillow like sponge helps alot in reducing sore or pain

I spend a lot of time rowing, and this has really helped. It provides support that is not too firm and not too soft and it doesn’t get soaked and stink. It holds onto the erg seat really well and doesn’t slip. It doesn’t really cave in noticeably either, although I flip it over every few weeks. Overall it’s a pretty good cushion.

Stays in place very well and does add some extra comforts when rowing for longer periods of time.

Purchased it after watching a review by Shane Farmer. My rower seat is semi hard plastic, i initially only wanted a quality cushion for long rows. A week before the cushion arrived i began feeling soreness in my tailbone. My seat does not have that notch at the back that the newer rower seats have for the tailbone (the cushion is designed for those type of seats). I'm so glad i ordered it, it solved a problem i didn't know i had. For buyers with seats like mine, simply place it front to back instead. It might also work as is since it has a notch but i haven't tried it. Quality is premium and cushioning is just right for me, no more soreness on long rows and i can still feel my seating position to make corrections. A worthwhile accessory, highly recommended.
