Badass Beard Care Beard Oil and Balm Trial Pack For Men - The Viking Scent - All Natural Ingredients, Keeps Beard and Mustache Full, Soft and Healthy

I've never used 'beard oil' before, so just for the helluvit decided to give some a try, and grabbed the trial pack (original scent).The Oil:At first I thought, "wow, this smells very 'real'"; as in, not an artificial, obviously fake smell. It was pretty strong, and ever-present. I was like, "hmmm, not bad, but also not sure if I want to smell like this to others". Didn't take long at all before I pretty much hated the scent. It's very 'cedar' like, I guess you could say. Sort of like you are sticking your nose right into a bag of cedar wood chips. At least that's what it smelled like to me.The Balm:This is pretty much just greasy. Feels and smells mostly like you're just rubbing Vaseline on your beard, though a bit lighter.The package:The presentation is actually really nice. Nice little velvet bag with a string, the balm/oil, and even a guitar pick.The result:Yes, my beard felt a *little* softer, and was a *little* less frazzled looking, though not much more than if I just comb it after a shower. I'm not really sure why I'm seeing so many RAVE reviews; it's not *that* great. I can take it or leave it.The price:Here's probably the bigger issue; it's around $6 for this trial, and you really only get about 1, maybe 1.5 uses out of the teeny tiny sample of oil (see pic). I actually feel like I got a little bit ripped off on the price for the amount you get. I'd like to see the trial priced more around the 3/4 dollar mark in total (incl. shipping, et. al.). I'd like to try some different scents, but there's not a chance in Hell I'm paying that amount again for even 1 more sample for that amount of oil, and there're a whole lot of scents to try before you find one that you might like. On the other hand, I saw they offer a trial package of all scents (the same tiny sized bottles), which is cool, but it's $30+ .... no thanks. Drop it to around $10 total and I'll try it. I'd also like to see them offer that same package, minus everything but the oils (no balms, etc.), just to see which scent I like, and make it around say $5 total.All-in-all:It's "ok". If I could find the scent that I like w/out dropping a fortune in the process, I'd probably buy the big bottle of it, or even bottle(S) if I found more than 1 scent I liked; possibly regularly. But currently, I think I'll just skip it.

The smell doesn't quite match the description but it isn't bad at all.This is a perfect sample pack!BadAss Beard Care works great - looking forward to trying more of their stuff!

The trial size is a great option, I got the ladies man and loved it. It smelled like an orange creamsicle to me (one of my favorite ice creams) and it made my beard look nice and smooth and feel soft.The company was also awesome enough to throw in a free sample of their shampoo which I absolutely love. It's got eucalyptus oil peppermint oil and tea tree oil along with argan, rosemary, and avocado oil. It gives you that nice minty fresh tingly sensation when you use it and definitely smells nice.I also received a guitar pick to help scoop out the balm from the trial size container. They also sent me two cards for free samples so I can try out more.This is a very good company. It's American owned and run by Vets. They know what they are doing and have a great product. I will definitely be purchasing beard oil and balm once I run out of what I have now.**Note to anyone who didn't see it earlier, the beard oil and balm smelled like an orange creamsicle** it's a good sm

Bad Ass Beard oil and balm are the real deal! I’ve been looking for a product to tame my brillo pad beard because I’m tired of looking like a hedgehog. I don’t have dry skin nor was I looking for anything to help with itching or flaking. I tried one product which was highly reviewed on Amazon, but the smell was a little overpowering and it also dried out my face and caused itching. Not cool. After looking around a little more, I decided to try Bad Ass Beard because they offer the trial size: perfect for you to try out their many scents! I originally tried the Outlaw and Biker scents. Biker was nice, but I didn’t want to smell Patchouli all day. Outlaw smells absolutely amazing (my wife agrees). I’m trying out Original and Royal Knight since they have similar notes as Outlaw. The best part is no itching!!!All in all, Bad Ass Beard makes exceptional products and backs up their stuff with world-class customer service. I am highly satisfied with their oils and balms and will settle on a full size once my trials are used.

Omg. Smells different on my husband than in the bottle. At first it was, oh, nice, slightly pine-y, maybe something else in there? Then he rubbed it in his beard... The pine-y turned into a soft evergreen Tahoe breeze with sweet citrus notes and little kiss of the spicy clove- which I couldn’t identify at first, it just registered as yummy. I don’t know what else they sneak in this stuff, but it’s good, really good. The beard had been annoying the crap out of me, now all of a sudden I can’t keep MY face out of it. It’s softening and not a bit greasy or product-y feeling. Smells like my fantasy of a snowed-in cabin in the woods, with a crackling fire, a sexy man, and some hot buttered rum...

The beard balm has a very nice texture and melts easily with the heat and friction of rubbing into your hands prior to application. I was please with the intensity of the scents with all three of the samples I purchased. The outlaw (vanilla/sweet tobacco/pepper) is my current favorite, followed-by The ladies man, and Burrista. I would have liked to see more intensity of scent in the balms; however I understand that some may not appreciate an increase depending on personal preference. I just really enjoy the The Outlaw Vanilla/tobacco/pepper scent profile. Good work here. If I had one recommendation, look for possibilities to increase order to shipping time. My samples took 5-6 days to receive once I placed my order. It’s also worth saying that I bought the 2oz container of this product.
