The boat worked for less than 5 minutes. We put it out on a shallow pond in the neighborhood, and after driving it around for a couple minutes, it just stopped going anywhere. The lights were working and you could hear the motor running, but it wouldn’t go forward or backward. It was just stuck in the middle of the pond, drifting, no matter which buttons we pressed. I stepped into what I thought was 2 inches of water to try to retrieve it, and the mud on the bottom of the pond sucked my legs down until it was up to my knees. I managed to get back to the shore, but the mud sucked my shoes off my feet, gone forever. We decided at that point to just leave the boat, as there was no way to get it out safely. So not only are we out a boat, I am out a pair of shoes as well. Unless you are using this in a pool or a safe place to swim, I do not recommend this boat. I thought we’d get at least a day’s use out of it. But not even 5 minutes? I’m assuming one or both of the propellers came off, as it came with extra propellers. But I have no way of knowing now.

We bought this boat for our 7yo nephew’s bday. This is his first RC boat and he loves it! It took some time and patience to teach him how to use it (as he wasn't very careful at the beginning), but he quickly adapted how to control it safely. The boat is very fast and can reach pretty far. One set of batteries lasted a little longer than 45 mins, however, there's an additional battery included in the packet, so over 1.5 hours of total run time. We first used the boat in the hotel pool where he had his party, but we plan to take it to the neighborhood park and enjoy running it in the pond. I would definitely recommend this RC boat, it makes a great gift

It’s a boat but the controller can’t even get damp and it stops working

My nephew loved this boat so much! It lights up beautifully and can thus be played with anytime of night or day! The boat easily was maneuvered via the remote control as it went around the pool. It zooms around at a decent speed!!! It’s the perfect size to be able to take with you easily. Not too large or small, just like Goldilocks.…just right. It performed very well as it was put through all of the kiddos tests and with a decent battery life we had fun for a good while with it!
