The pictures of sea animals was intriguing so I ordered it for our grandkids. The X for the embroidery work is tiny. The kids are working on their pictures, but as beginners, struggling. This is not the beginner's kits I have seen in the past. It needs to have larger X's so kids can succeed.

Got this for a summer activity for my kids to help them learn to sew. I as a kid did cross stitch and that built my foundation. These are simple cute and small projects which is great, large ones never seem to get done...These are bite sized and come with all you need. I would recommend a thimble or bigger needles for kids first time then what comes with this. Otherwise has all you need and are nice. Good set.

I ordered this to teach my daughter how to cross stitch. It has been a long time since I have done any cross stitching so I wanted to find something small to start her off with. These were cute little designs and simple to do. It also came with simple instructions and key chains so you can hang them from your bag if you choose. Great beginner kit for a good price.

My 13-year-old daughter was thinking about learning embroidery, so I ordered this kit. It came with everything she needed and she says the instructions were easy to follow. She does have quite a bit of sewing experience and background knowledge. The designs weren't her favorite, but she plans on using the templates to gain proficiency before making her own.

These served as an excellent distraction for over an hour. The materials included are of sufficient quality. We didn't end up using the key chains, and a lot of the embroidery floss ended up as friendship bracelets, but the result is what I was hoping for - happy mini-crafters without a huge mess to clean up.

My wife loves stitching and thought these would be cute for the grandkids. They come with everything you need and are a beginner set. Easy to learn, small enough to start and finish in one sitting. You get 5 different patterns. Kids loved it and the wife had fun teaching them! Would recommend!

Cute little set that comes with everything you need. I like that each pattern is marked with the needed colors. The directions are ok. I'm not sure if i would actually make these into keychains though. They would be gigantic to carry around. These will be a lot of fun for my girls first try at needle crafts. I'm glad I got them.
