Pros:* Works well with mobile app. You can print things straight from your phone.* Mobile app provides lots of customization. But don't think you could print those fancy cartoons you see in the images, you need their special label paper for that. By default this label printer comes with pure white labels only.* Thermal printing so it doesn't use INK.* USB-C connection for charging* Small profile.Cons:* Print quality is really bad 1/3 of the time. While printing, sometimes only have of your text is printed. Almost as it the printer itself isn't imprinting well onto the label. You end up wasting a lot of labels when it doesn't print well.* Built-in speaker seems unnecessarily loud. Makes you wonder if it can be disabled.

I have just become a HUGE fan of Niimbot. I ordered two of their printers, and both were delightful machines to use. The basic free features in the app are (for now) enough for my needs, and I love that you can print using bluetooth straight from your phone! The printer has an internal battery that charges via USB-C and lasts plenty long for casual usage. The label stock isn't cheap but it's readily available.If you can play Tetris on your phone, you can get this label maker up and running and print cute labels in no time!

The NIIMBOT B1 Label Maker is a versatile and affordably priced label maker that is designed with businesses in mind; but, it can also be used for home or personal use. This compact device is packed with features that make it easy to create high-quality text and images, quickly and easily on blank or transparent labels, gap paper, transparent paper and other media. The B1 uses thermal printing technology which saves money, since no ink or cartridges are used. The only supply that you will need to purchase is the 20 - 48 mm wide thermal paper or labels that you choose to print on. This portable, lightweight, easy to carry printer can be linked via Bluetooth to your phone using the Niimbot app, or connected directly to your computer using the included USB cord (driver installation required for editing). The Niimbot app recognizes and connects to the printer amazingly fast. The app does contains templates which can be modified from the following categories: General, Retail, Home, and Communications. These main categories do have sub-categories which means there are plenty of templates to choose from. But, I must mention, that not all of the templates or printing fonts are free for the user. If you want to use the VIP templates and fonts, there is a monthly or annual fee ranging from $6.49 a month (discounted price) up to $64.99 a year (discounted price, regular pricing starts at $9.99 a month up to $94.99 a year). Also, you can't save your labels or templates without signing up for a Niimbot account, which is free.Loading the labels in the B1 is so easy that a child could do it. The labels print very quickly, the printer does make noise when printing multiple labels, similar to the sounds that you would hear from a Dymo or Rollo thermal printer. Label editing is easy, I would compare to using Microsoft Word, the options are similar for bold text, underline text, italic text , font sizes, text alignment and centering options, and the list goes on and on. If you've used a program to type or edit documents, you won't have any problem using this app, it's pretty basic.I was disappointed that the app couldn't be loaded on my Samsung tablet. I use my tablet a lot more than I use my phone, since it is easier to read. I worry a bit about loading Chinese companies apps on my phone, since I do most of my banking on the phone. Also, I think the label prices could be a bit cheaper, since the rolls used by the B1 are pretty small. It would also be nice if there were more free fonts.My final thought is that this is a nice little printer that can go anywhere with you. It seems to be well built and the battery seems to last a long time. I've only had to charge it once and have had it on for hours now, with no sign of battery drain. The printer does come with a USB A to USB C cable for charging or connecting to the computer. The manual is helpful in setting up the printer with the app, so you can get to printing.

This printer is heavy and well made. Fully charged in 3 hours and I did a lot of printing and it still has a charge. Labels are easy to load and the printing is dark and clear. The app is foolproof and I was printing within seconds of opening the app. It only offered me about 10 fonts but lots of ones to add for a fee and I can fully format my text and import pictures without a fee. Not as compact as others, but the end product is so much better. Overall, great portable label maker. Thank you :)
