All round great spades. Only issue for holidays etc is that they are bigger than the generic plastic spades so take up more room but the size is stated on the description

So far so good. Very sturdy. Has survived an overseas holiday and two here in the UK. Not bad at all. Perfect for 9 and 10 year olds building sand castles.

So small it’s ridiculous.Picture makes them look like a good sized spade for kids. However if your child is over 12inches tall they will need to dig laying down to make use of these tiny items!!! Disgusted

Great set of spades for a nice sunny beach day or to use in the garden with a sandpit

The media could not be loaded.  The video goes into much more detail, including an overview of the quality of the plastic and the wooden shaft, as well as showing you the shovels in somebody's hands which I think gives you a better idea of what they look and feel like.However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Nice bright designs - they look good.Things I didn't like:- Not sure how long they're going to last - they feel very lightweight.Do I recommend it?Tentatively, yes. It all depends on the price. In my opinion, £10 for the two is too much. £6 for two would be better. If they're available for about £6, absolutely. If they're £10 for the pair, you might want to consider the value carefully before buying.

Very flimsy and unlikely to survive many trips to the beach without snapping

This set of 2 spades is really well made and durable. Unlike the cheap plastic ones, these seem like they will last. Will be great on the beach in the summer. Would recommend.

These are nice spades to take to the beach. They arent very big though, but are lightweight to carry.. They are in between the small ones you can get and the large long stem ones you can get. They have wooden stems and the rest is plastic. I not sure it would take much to break them, more so the plastic parts. You do get 2 of these one red and one blue. A little costly at £9.99 and have paid cheaper by the seaside. I actually live near the seaside so was a little shocked at the price of these for what you get and the size of them.
