Exceptional little piece of kit at a very reasonable price. I bought this for my shop running a pair of Klipsche Tangent speakers. Woke the speakers right up and sound blissful. Surprisingly, sublime sound quality from this little amp. Bluetooths is awesome sounding through this device and easy as pie to make use of. Love that it does not auto-intrude and take over your bluetoooth either Just go to your media output, select the device done. Easy. I run a denon turntable on this device with an orphoton cart and it sound just splendid as well. Really, pyle just became a brand im gonna watch for. Likely will buy an upscale version for the home as well.

Pro: Bluetooth is super easy to connect. My Samsung TV found it right away. Remote easy to use. Amp is very lightweight. All the lights works great. It's all buttons. On and off switch. No tuch screen. Music sounds clear. Cons: Amp have to be next to what you connecting too via Bluetooth. More than 8 feet away the songs starts getting choopy. The amp gives off a lot of heat. I did not see a fan inside of the Amp. However, there is a BIG HEAT sink inside of the amp and vents around the body. I had to put a fan to blow air on the amp to keep it cool which is normal with amps in general. I am running 2 - 10" with the amp. Enjoying it overall for the price.

Overall, the product does what I want from it, which is to serve as a rackmount amplifier for music and movies in my office separate from my main studio monitors. Overall, it functions completely adequately for the price, and the sound is very good with my existing bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. The remote is ok, but not all buttons appear to have a use (e.g., the red button does not actually power down the unit, which has a hard switch on the front). Nonetheless, it does give you a volume override to the main knob, and the ability to cycle through radio stations and switch modes to bluetooth. I don't really use the remote, but I'm generally sitting at arm's reach from the unit. I have two main quibbles: 1) the lack of an optical input. Given that many products these days no longer bother to include RCA outs, this a potentially huge inconvenience. 2) the subwoofer volume is totally independent, rather than set as a relative setting to main volume. This means that you must always adjust two volumes. This is especially annoying because of the lack of a quick override mute feature, which would at least give a quick cut of all sound. Instead, I roll down the main volume when I get a phone call and then just have loud rumbling. I'll get used to this and can live with it, but my last amplifier rolled SW along with main volume, which makes more sense, since I also have a volume control on the subwoofer itself. Neither of these issues is annoying enough for me to return this, and I haven't found another rackmount product that serves my purpose. I definitely value the space saved over finding something that doesn't have those two issues, and getting something for under $100 was a definite bargain. I haven't tried using the SD or USB inputs, which are not particularly useful for me. Nor have I tried the microphone inputs, which are not particularly necessary for me, but may be nice for some individuals that want an karaoke setup on the cheap. One other note: the included FM antenna is just a thin wire. It was totally acceptable, but for under $10 you can add a much better antenna and get far superior sound. I really wasn't looking for an FM tuner when I was searching for this product, but it's actually been a nice additional benefit in my office to use, so I'm pleased with that feature.

(second review) For the price, this amazing product is well worth the purchase. I like Pyle. I used a 5-disk changer for years; when it went out, I got this receiver to play songs in a continuous fashion. With the remote, a person can keep mp3 files in folders and change from folder to folder, leaving a single folder or all songs on repeat, and the remote has a pause button that works well. 'If' you are into singing with songs, especially with someone else, it may be a lot of fun for you. I never used the mic inputs, and the mp3 playback abilities took me a few days to figure, yet it worked great. I am into audio and song recording and usually will leave a folder of new tracks on repeat to consider what may be best to do with them or future experimental tracks. The bluetooth does connect well and there are other inputs, as seen in the product description. I did not take the time to register the item the first time I bought it six months ago and 'mistakingly' wired a four-speaker circuit that burned out a resistor and a capacitor within the receiver. My mistake and I do not recommend someone opening the enclosure without at least an intermediate knowledge of electronics - capacitors that store over 24 volts are potentially lethal and a life risk should not be taken lightly. That being said, the receiver worked so well during its first time around that I ordered the same product and am joyous that it was still available. If it had a record to mp3 function I would consider the PDA7BU even more impossible to surpass with what I could find on the market, especially with the dual mic inputs that have an echo knob. I also recommend the Dual speakers that are usually showed at the bottom of the Amazon product page along with the banana plugs and thick-gauge speaker wire. It is fun to assemble - the larger of the two options of the dual speakers present a deep boom totally worth the money, even when turned down low. I did not opt for the subwoofer and was not tempted too; if you get the Dual speakers, notice the 'label' on the front can be adjusted to vertical or horizontal, they can be laid on a shelf or mounted well in otherwise fashion. I totally appreciate a product with that much ability for its cost and simplicity. Do not let it frustrate that the flashdrive will only play mp3s from a drive and is not a 'decoder,' if the term is close. As in, if you have a pedometer that plays mp3s and can communicate with a usb cable the receiver will not play mp3s by selection of the songs from a player. The inputs can receive audio as described in the product description - it worked fine with a 5-disk changer input into female rca ports. If you plan to hook up more than two speakers with it, which I really see no point in, be sure to contact Pyle and confirm the manner of installation before hand for safety and durability reasons. It is a sleek receiver, thin and able to be mounted in a sturdy fashion with the metal brackets that come with the device. There are many receivers; I chose this one twice. :) Thank you to Pyle, and get one if you can to else. The one drawback, short not being able to record or having a headphone/aux out is the bright display not being able to be dimmed. Do not look at it for long amounts of time within under six feet or so - there is nothing wrong with using 'matte' tape (the 'dull, not see-through-shiny-Christmas-wrapping-tape-yet-still-see-through-and-common-tape') on the front of the led screen (as one can do with a common led bulb) to have a less detrimental display. There is also nothing wrong with painting a spot on the top of the remote with white-out and putting a piece of tape on top of it in order to see the orientation of the remote quickly within dim lighting (worked well for me). If you purchase this product, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did; I had to make do without it for a few weeks. With one flash drive, I can select from at least 500 songs; there is not much of a reason to get a flash drive with more than 8 or 16 gigs. I recommend ScanDisk flash drives Only; Do not format the flash drive if you opt for that route. Over all, the PDA7BU is my favorite home audio receiver. (first review) Shopping to replace a 5-disk changer took me months. I found a 3-disk changer and it went out in 40 days, so I got a 5-disk that was the changer only (no speakers). Of course, I would also need an amp and speakers, so I shopped on Amazon extensively for a good deal on a good one and found what I was looking for. It is great for hooking up a CD player, Bluetooth, and rca in/TV; I use it mostly for playing mp3s. It does well to play from a flash drive with mp3s in folders and can be left on repeat. For the price, I simply cannot complain and wonder if anything else could have compared. The speakers I got with it hit hard enough, (Dual Electronics: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00081NX5U/) even though I keep it turned down. The remote has pause, volume, and other controls for radio and mp3. This is an awesome product and I have appreciated its abilities. Thank you Pyle and Amazon.

The pyle PDA7BU Bluetooth stereo receiver worked for a few days only before the problems started. The FM radio doesn't have a manual tuner, as soon as you select FM it scans looking fo stations and stops on useless frequency and marks it Chanel 1 then another #2 -#3-#4 all the way to Chanel #20. It only scans from 88 thru 94 and no higher, my favorite station is 171.3 and you can not tune manually and select a Chanel number. The user manual is a joke and it's not funny. The Bluetooth works fine surround is 5.1 , the Mp3 and USB work fine. Pyle must think FM is a thing from the past . My 40 year old RADIOSHACK REALISTIC AM-FM stero with an SW meter and fine tuning works and sounds much better than the new pyle equipment. I can only rate it at ONE star and cannot recommend pyle.

Needed an amp with a depth no more than 10". Not too many options. I remember Pyle from the 80s when I was buying this brand because it was cheap and I really didn't know too much about frequency and watts . Fast forward to 2026 and here I am buying a Pyle amplifier. I was pretty surprised at it's performance. I have 2 infinity tower speakers and a power subwoofer and a few Samsung surround sound speakers. Surprisingly it has a pretty good sound. Now I'm not throwing a block party, I'm just using it for playing mp3 , Bluetooth to my phone to play utube music videos as well I'll also use it for movie night. I mean for $90 or less it's not bad but again I have the space constraint.

Surprising quality. Happy with it. For the price point you can’t beat this unit. It does however have a strong buzzing when not in use. You don’t really notice until you power it off and realize it had the scatter noise. Has microphone/instrument inputs which we love as musicians and karaoke night. Strong output for speakers but Bluetooth alphas a slight delay by a 1/4 second. My tv had an option to fix this but it was annoying. This tends to happen with cheaper Bluetooth items. No issues when it was hardwired. We opted for Bluetooth based on how we ran our surround sound. Our old unit died and we wanted to keep using our high end speaker setup. For the price A-

Channel scanning super fast ,BT pairing is fast also ..really solid ..THD% really low ..I can't hear hissing sound ..works well with my DX-2 whalfdale speakers !!

great unit, best i've bought for a long time, i'm old school HiFi, this unit fits the style for an old school setup

I bought this unit after a long search for something for my garage area; I already had a spare pair of loudspeakers, and just needed some kind of receiver / amplifier to go with it. Having received and tested it yesterday, and set it up today, I can say that this little unit is quite well featured for the price, although it does have several quirks (which I will get to later). Overall, the unit works. It came as described, with no damages. The inclusion of remote is a nice touch - it's powered by a watch battery (looks like a CR2025) - it's small, but effective. I tried playing music from a USB flash drive, paired with my mobile via Bluetooth and FM radio -- all work. For the USB, I tried using the front panel button to 'search' the folders on USB flash drive (which had taken reading the manual very carefully to figure that out -- more on that later), and it seemed to work just fine -- odd thing is that unit seems to number all tracks on the USB sequentially, as opposed to the track number within a specific folder. I have the unit connected to a pair of Mission loudspeakers (rated up to 75w, with 6 ohm nominal load), and they work just fine - not sure what the total stereo output power is with speakers of that impedance, but it fills the area I want just fine. The sound quality seems to depends on the source: I tried streaming music from YouTube via my mobile, and it seemed raspy / slightly distorted - but that may have to do with the YouTube source, given it's compressed music. I have yet to stream uncompressed music via BT to see what happens. The FM radio can sound quite good, but it seems to depend on the station strength. The manual says it only plays MP3 and WAV files, but I tried with a collection of WMA (Windows Media Audio) files via USB, and they worked, so that's a bonus. And the sound quality was fine. One neat thing is that the unit has both a 'hard' off, and a 'soft' off -- the former is done via the switch on the front panel, while the latter is done via the remote control. And here are the quirks I found with the unit: - when I first unpackaged the unit, I noticed the volume knob was at 'MAX', as noted by other reviewers -- before turning on the unit the first time, ensure you look at the knobs and put them either at 'zero' or in the center of their range (i.e. bass / treble / balance); - radio tuning: apparently you just press the 'play / pause' button once while on the radio setting, when you first turn on the unit, and it automatically scans and saves available channels (as your 'presets') - there is no manual tuning available (also note that the Source Switch has to be on 'MP3' for either the USB / SD readers or the radio to work); - volume control: this can be adjusted both on the unit via the large knob (which has a good feel), or also the remote -- but note that when you adjust on the remote, it's doesn't 'move' the knob -- it's not motorized (in case you were expecting that); - the supplied FM antenna does connect to the back panel just fine (push-in type), although it's just a wire, and the connector looks odd (i.e. non-standard). You definitely need it to get FM radio signal -- so don't lose the antenna; - the subwoofer output: although I'm not using it, the manual doesn't indicate if this is a full-range audio signal or only a bass signal (and if the latter, what the cut-off frequency is) -- this may have an impact depending on a person's specific subwoofer unit; - I really don't see the point of the surround sound speaker connections -- the unit doesn't appear to have any ability to accept / read multi-channel audio signals (either from music, or from video), and the manual says nothing about what this is for or how it works, so this seems like a bizarre addition; and - and the last thing, which often drives me nuts, is the supplied manual: there's spelling mistakes and odd grammar. But if you can ignore that, then it's fine. If Pyle is reading this review, here's what I recommend be changed for future models: - remove the surround sound speaker ability -- based on the current playback abilities, I simply don't see the point, if one can't feed a multi-channel sound / video signal to the unit; - remove the microphone inputs -- who needs this for mic usage? - in place of mic inputs, how about a headphone output, with adjustable volume & selectable 'source'; - the screen: please make bigger, with adjustable illumination; - also for the screen: stop the 'continuous' file data scrolling - make it intermittent, or allow an 'info' button to scroll through metadata as desired; and - PLEASE add internet radio (with capabilities via both a hard wire LAN connection, and WiFi), as well as RDS capability for FM radio. The former is what I really, really was looking for, but it's nearly impossible to find -- so I'm left with streaming from my mobile to this unit for now. Otherwise, quite a well featured unit for the price, and at least in the short term, I have no regrets.
