Greatly improves view when parking
I got this convex mirror to improve the view when driving into my garage. I need to be as far over towards the storage racks without hitting them. The installation instructions were a bit confusing because they were geared towards installing a metal loop around a pole. I disregarded this bit of the kit and improvised by drilling screw holes into the wall and attaching the metal plate that way. Once that was done, the rest of the installation was relatively easy. The mirror can be adjusted to move sideways or up and down. Once I had got my desired angle, it does the job nicely.

So easy to clamp mirrors on- (An inverted Bake Been Tin) ...
JCM-80o Convex unbreakable traffic mirror, diameter 80cm (31"), for road safety and shop security with adjustable fixing bracket for pole 76 mm (2.5") Quality -Attractive - Heavy- and first class manufacture. Most Scrap Yards will have the 2-1/2" posts, to save your money..So easy to clamp mirrors on- (An inverted Bake Been Tin) - placed on top, to make the pole topwater proof. Each installation about 10 minutes, when the pole has been positioned.Bought two of these, originally thought they were too large, but both are ideal. Two dangerous main road junctions. Awkward Council - a hundred disinterested reasons-They wouldn't supply - nor allow the use of a strategic lamp post.1. First Mirror was an "Upside down "Y" junction" -Cars struggle to get up - has two blind - very steep 60 house - residential roads - 6 crashes during last snows. Now a full clear view - Down each road.Pole fixed with 10" Jubilee clips, to 7-foot steel fence, Mirror to one side of Lamppost- ideal in my garden.2. The second Mirror - "Upside down T Junction."A beautiful Lake, 40 car - Car Park, and Breakfast-Lunch Burger Bar.A dangerously steep loose stone 180 Deg- side entrance - leading onto a lethal busy 40MPH narrow bendy treecovered Coach Road. From the Right 40 yards a hidden bend, from the left a clear view. The second Mirror now fixed on the opposite side of the road to a steel pole- at the moment fixed to a tree with bands, to test. Now exiting looking slightly left - the normal view of vehicles from the left, and clearly through the new mirror. No unexpected traffic speeding up from behind. So no accidents or stress. The Mirrors are well made and very attractive - neither sites are distracting. Each mirror legally positioned on private land.We all feel much safer, so sod the Police, and Councils. (Though - In all fairness - Concave Mirrors did take - a little getting used too.)So neither site is 100% perfect - but at least allow us 50+% better, with less danger, than before, for just over £100.Ken(Just a fully satisfied full priced purchaser).

Excellent field of vision. Good value.
It took longer to dismount our old worn out one than to mount this one on a piece of long 4x4 wood. Immediately impressed by the distance and width of vision both ways. The view is very clear and now so much better, before if someone was going quite fast or had a road coloured car, we nearly missed them. We actually got two as drive has two entrances and we are right on a sharp bend on a 60mph country road. but actually one would have been enough, ordered two as the previous one had a narrower field of vision. I think other drivers use them to see around the bend too as there has been fewer near misses outside since installation. I was going to go for the larger size but these are perfect.A couple of weeks after we had installed them, I had a card through the front door from a stranger asking where I had got them and commenting on how impressive they are. Seriously, no lie! I emailed them the link. These mirrors have made entering and leaving in a car so much safer.

Very clear vision.
This convex mirror replaced one I have had for many years that was broken by a sheep climbing over a wall by the pole where I had it mounted. I have rated it 4 stars only because it feels very flimsy/flexible compared to my old one, which was British made (but sadly no longer in business) very strong and had been in use for around 20 years.

Does the job
Fitted this mirror so that I could see what was coming in a blind spot. The first time backing out of the drive I could see a kid on his bike entering this blind spot so I stopped. Paid for itself on its first use! Simple to install. Taking all the bits of the plastic protective coating was my biggest issue

I was quite happy with my first one but had to buy a second one.
I had previously bought a similar model with the long attachment arm which I needed. I was happy with it although the plastic mirror surface is extremely thin; just a very light finger touch distorts it but it goes back into shape. I found that I needed two mirrors to cover both directions of roadway as the coverage angle for each mirror is less than 180 degrees. The previous model came with a U bolt which was missing with this item, so I bolted the second mirror to the bracket on the first mirror. The previous model had a rain shield which probably helps to keep the surface a bit cleaner for longer. In my case I could only orientate the support arm one way. Thus the adjustment range allows the mirror to be tilted downwards but not upwards which was not ideal in my application. If I could have mounted the arm the other way up it would have been possible to tilt the mirror upwards but not downwards. The designers are missing a trick here by not making the bracket fully adjustable. The instructions are the familiar weird translation from Chinese.
