This book is all about self-love
✔️ Post Breakup✔️ light hearted comedy✔️ Self love journey𝑴𝒚 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔:- What do you do when the person you thought you'd spend your life with becomes a total stranger, wanting nothing to do with you? Just thinking about it makes me feel really down.Hats off to the author for taking on a tough topic like divorce and showing the real side of it. At first, I was super interested, but as time went on, I kind of lost that excitement. In my opinion, this could've worked better as a short story rather than a whole novel. There are moments that make you chuckle and others that tug at your heartstrings, but the pacing felt a bit slow and everyday for my liking. This book is all about self-love. It's nice to see them trying to understand and embrace themselves, even though sometimes it comes across as a bit too complainy.Overall, the novel offers a glimpse into the intricate emotions associated with divorce and self-discovery, showcasing both the highs and lows of the journey.

Loved the second half, the first half not so much
TW : Divorce, BreakupOther readers called this book hilarious and fun in a way. Even though I see where they're coming from, that kind of perspective, I wouldn't say it was hilarious. I wouldn't say it was fun.The character of Maggie, who's also the protagonist here, is so wonderfully painted all over the story by Heisey that as a reader I could connect with her at various moments in the book, and I also disagreed on some others. It turned out to be more like a friend's breakup story who I wanted to chide and counsel. The whole pattern of a breakup, the moment it happens until someone starts the process of getting over and moving on, those highs and lows are precisely and accurately described in this book. Maggie is seen being foolish at first which is also why first half of the book, I almost hated! I was going to DNF it but the moment I crossed page 200, I knew something had changed. It was like one of those movies which will have almost no story in the first half but will give you the most meaningful ending making you fall in love with it!The other supporting characters, Jon, Simon, Maggie's friends, especially Amy has my heart as she was the only one who saw Maggie beyond her drama, her tantrums, maybe because she understood what Maggie was going through and like a good friend she was always there for her.The other friends didn't appeal to me much mostly because they leave her on her own at her worst and I would rather not have any friends than such people who would leave me at my worst. But the whole plot is quite good towards the end. I honestly dragged myself through the first half of the book, not able to read any more than 2 pages at once. But later I was able to finish the second half in just a day so that's there too! It's a good one time read✨

I liked it!!!
The writing was extremely witty but yet, felt very real. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. Only downfalls for me are that the story is very long and it didn’t necessarily have an ending, it kind of just ended. Because of this, it makes reading such a lengthy story not very fulfilling but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Good book
It was not the best book or most entertaining but it was okay. There were one or two moments I might have laughed out loud but that's where it ends.
