Brilliant for an older tv.
A nice bit of kit. Giving full functionality back to an older tv. We are using it on an old crt set that we couldn’t bear to part with. As easy to use as any other freeviiew box. Hidden nicely away behind the telly. Simple remote good picture turns on almost instantly and gives all the uk Freeview channels.

and recordings made via usb were great, ( mts format that VLC player can handle ...
Patience needed for proper set up. Strange epg system which although it works o.k. was confusing when it came to identify the recordings. Superb image for t.v. and recordings made via usb were great,( mts format that VLC player can handle and can via computer be converted to mp4). Used an 'Integral' make of usb @ 32gb for recordings. To date, approx 2 months, no problems incurred and feel this is great value for money. My Hitachi set top recorder(over £110 ! ), demoted to wifes cookery and soap catch ups !!

Excellent Freeview HD box
What a fantastic freeview tuner:In spite of size 8 font in instruction book, at least it had more than pretty pictures. And once plugged in the device practically set itself upPicture quality is superb, both in standard view and hd view. This was in spite of only having a loft aerial and a long lead into my conservatorySatisfied with my progress so far I then purchased a 32gb sandisk for £7.99 from a well known retailer. And, hey presto the tuner found the usb stick straight away and I was able to start recording immediately. I then decided to plug the stick into my pc and copy some music, once again my FLACK, free audio lossless format played back beautifully through my tv. I Then plugged my tv into an audio amp for superb sound production. Then, more out of curiocity than anything, I plugged my WD hard drive in and suprise suprise it read all my 32gb music files and was able to record tv programmes without having to reformat the disk.Yes, there are one or two little minuses, like for instance, the remote being quite directional and the remote being a little on the small side. Also, when recording two programmes, one ending at 10amm and the other starting at 10am it says there is a conflict, but this is easilly overcome by programming the second programme to start recording at 10.01am.So, to conclude, this is a superb value for money piece of kit

Disappointed
Item delivered on time.First of all I checked that my TVs were HD ready and had HDMI ports, they did. After setting it up with a HDMI cable up as instructions advise to get best quality pictures I began the channel search, which was pretty simple. It tuned in over 300 TV channels and about 100 radio channels, obviously, some of these are repeated. Most of the channels I tried were good quality; the HD channels were very good.I then tried to delete the unwanted channels so as not to take up storage space, which can slow things down. However, I could not access the channel list as it asked for a password, I didn't have one nor was it available in the user's manual, which is not very good (IMO).I changed back to TV channels and the system crashed. A blue screen occurred saying there was no signal. Also, a red light came on the IR sensor and would not turn off. I could not get into the menu or anything else. I disconnected and reconnected: nothing!I tried the system on another TV, same thing happened.I then emailed the seller and he responded really quickly. He advised I try to connect it again, go to menu, settings and then restore. Fortunately, it did come back on line. I went to the menu, restored the system and got the channels again. Going through the channels more thoroughly, I found some to keep breaking up and pixilating, even channels that were fine with normal TV reception before using the device.I went to the Channel Manager and then the channel list; it asked for the password and I entered the default password given to me by the seller, which is: 000000. I gained entry to the list and deleted the unwanted channels (porn channels, kids channels and shopping channels). The device then crashed again.Obviously, the device was either faulty or it was not of a standard that would operate on my TVs. I packed it up and I have returned it.I would not recommend buying this product; the old saying "you get what you pay for" is appropriate in this case.

Brilliant!!
I cannot believe this actually works so well!! I have an old TV and put it in my campervan saw this and thought I'll give it a go, got a cheap aerial plugged it all in and it literally sets itself up, instantly found nearly 100 free TV channels and radio! Perfect for my needs and totally saved me buying a new TV 😊
